The Anand Files offers a detailed insight into the strategies Viswanathan Anand used to win three World Championship chess matches in a row. It takes the reader behind the scenes to show the inner workings of Team Anand, including pre-game planning and preparing opening novelties, some of which have yet to be used. Meticulously researched over several years, during which the author conducted numerous interviews with members of Team Anand, this book follows Anand and his team of seconds for his dramatic matches against Kramnik, Topalov and Gelfand. The reader will gain a deep understanding of how top chess players work on their game and deal with the stress of elite competition. Over a hundred colour photographs illustrate the story.

The Hunt of a Lifetime: The Practical Guide to Planning and Executing Your Dream Hunt
This book is unapologetically aimed at hunting, fishing, and outdoor adventure, but the principles I suggest apply to any adventure. In this book, I will illustrate the fundamentals required to successfully plan, execute, and enjoy adventures. Then I try to inspire people to go on their own adventures by telling the story of a few of my own from the Rockies to Alaska to Africa. At the end of each of those adventures, I give away the recipe for how to do it yourself. Those recipes include the ingredients, the itemized costs, and the directions for how cook up your own adventure. Most adults struggle to admit when they, "don't know..." I believe "not knowing" is an obstacle. So, while they may dream about an Alaskan drop camp hunt or float fishing adventure, they simply hike the local forest, hunt their own farm, or fish the local lake. I endeavor to help breach that obstacle with knowledge and experience. If you dream of bigger adventures this book is a place to start. Life is always too short, get out there and chase your dreams.

Take a data-first and use-case driven approach to understanding machine learning and deep learning concepts with Low-Code AI. This hands-on guide presents three problem-focused ways to learn ML: no code using AutoML, low-code using BigQuery ML, and custom code using scikit-learn and Keras. You'll learn key ML concepts by using real-world datasets with realistic problems. Business and data analysts get a project-based introduction to ML/AI using a detailed, data-driven approach: loading and analyzing data, feeding data into an ML model; building, training, and testing; and deploying the model into production. Authors Michael Abel and Gwendolyn Stripling show you how to build machine learning models for retail, healthcare, financial services, energy, and telecommunications. You'll learn how to: Distinguish structured and unstructured data and understand the different challenges they present Visualize and analyze data Preprocess data for input into a machine learning model Differentiate between the regression and classification supervised learning models Compare different machine learning model types and architectures, from no code to low-code to custom training Design, implement, and tune ML models Export data to a GitHub repository for data management and governance

Killing Abel is a work of fiction based on the first passages of the book of Genesis in the Old Testament of the Christian Bible. From "In the beginning . . ." to the Great Flood, the Bible only says about two words per year of history, for that period on earth. Not very much. From Noah to Jesus, the Bible provides us with one hundred times that amount of history to guide man.Killing Abel takes the two words per year that God gave us, not changing a single one or changing a single context for those words, and fills in the gaps with the author's imagination.Any foundation for a coherent worldview must start at a logical place, and there is only one choice available for where to begin, in the beginning. If the underlying context is not Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning . . ." then it is a pretext. If you cannot trace your worldview back to a beginning, then what is it based on? If it has no beginning, then it has no foundation. Of all the tasks a man could face in life, the one I would least like to undertake is that of trying to deny a beginning.Killing Abel is written with the premise that God is open to doing as He pleases. Neither you nor I can bear up against what is true in an attempt to make God out to be something that fits our own misconceptions/conceptions that are not based on God's actions. In Killing Abel, God is depicted as a loving Father, which is not always an easy role to play, as many mortal fathers would readily admit. Being a good father is the most important, most difficult, and without exception, the most consequential obligation a man has.In the truest sense of the word, I believe that Killing Abel is a novel interpretation of the historical events from Adam to Noah. This is not meant to be theology―it is the fictional account of a loving Father and His children based on what little is revealed in the Bible.Perhaps God chose not to reveal much about the first 1,700 years of man's history so that man would think more about those early days. I hope that my imagination will entice you to use yours as you read a novel view of the killing of Abel.

Michael Gear and Kathleen O'Neal Gear, USA Today bestselling authors of Dark Inheritance and the First North American series."Dr. Tremain, your brother is dead." With one call from the FBI on a bright Colorado afternoon, paleoanthropologist Veronica Tremain's nightmare begins. Even as Veronica is trying to sort out the perplexing and horrific events, fugitives reach her home, including missing computer expert Dr. Bryce Johnson and a little boy who turns out to be Scott and Amanda's young son, Abel. Mere hours later, assassins strike. Now, Veronica, Bryce, and Abel are on the run in a world with no refuge. If I were to ask you where the first bank robbery murder took place in the United States, your mind would naturally travel to the Old West. But the first murder during a bank robbery actually occurred in Malden, Massachusetts on December 15, 1863. And the perpetrator was far from a famed gunslinger. However, he was someone just as dangerous - a desperate opportunist. At the time, Malden, a few miles north of Boston, was an idyllic, growing town. The battlefields of the Civil War, where able-bodied men were dying by the thousands lay distant. The town seemingly outside the reach of such violence. Edward Green, postmaster of Malden, lived far beyond his means and mismanaged the funds for which he was responsible. A newlywed with a child due in mere days, he sought out any solution he could find to solve his debt, retain his position and provide for his family. Frank Converse, aged seventeen, was the bank teller across the street. The youth was alone in the bank, a pile of cash in plain view. The temptation to solve his problems all at once was too strong for the postmaster to resist. He shot Converse twice and stole the money.I have framed this story as an analogy of Cain and Abel. The murderer and his victim, although not related, were reported to be the closest of friends. William Shiloh was born a free man in Delaware but by the end of the 1850's, he was not certain he would remain one much longer. He fled north with his growing family to Malden and opened a barbershop, along Pleasant Street, catering to the affluent men in the town. From his windows, William could witness all that transpired in Malden Square - although he was barely seen by the townsfolk he observed.Life was difficult, but William remained optimistic that it was improving day by day. That hope was obliterated by dread the morning Frank Converse was found shot and the bank robbed. Being the only one who held the knowledge that Edward Green was the last person to exit the bank before the crime was discovered, William suspected that the postmaster was the villain and that belief would only continue to grow.In many ways, William Shiloh is the heart and soul of this novel. A righteous man, yet a reluctant witness. He fears the townsfolk won't believe him for the mere fact that he is not one of them. He is an outsider. The color of his skin also makes him worry that an accusation directed toward a white man as the criminal might instead fasten the guilt squarely upon himself. The fact that Edward Green committed murder in broad daylight terrifies William. William's main priority, as it has always been, is to keep his family safe and the best way to accomplish that, he believes, is to not bring any undue attention on to himself. Yet his conscience struggles with the dilemma of what is safe for him - and what is just for the family of the murdered Converse boy and the frightened people of the town.
