Originally published in 1940, this book presents a revised chronology of the public ministry of Jesus in the light of revisions made to previously accepted dates pertaining to the birth and crucifixion of Christ. Ogg examines the evidence supplied by the Gospels as well as later Christian tradition to arrive at a rough outline of Christ's ministry and the conclusion that the crucifixion occurred in April of 33 AD. This book will be of value to anyone with an interest in Christology and in the historical person of Jesus.

Steel yourselves - Nanny Ogg is passing on some of her most interesting recipes and her most refined wisdom.'Probably the best and certainly the tastiest of the Discworld spin-offs' - The Times'They say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach which just goes to show they're as confused about anatomy as they gen'rally are about everything else, unless they're talking about instructions on how to stab him, in which case a better way is up and under the ribcage.' Nanny OggNanny Ogg, one of Discworld's most famous witches, is passing on some of her huge collection of tasty and above all interesting recipes. But in addition to the delights of the 'Strawberry Wobbler' and 'Nobby's Mum's Distressed Pudding', Mrs Ogg imparts her thoughts on social etiquette, life, death, courtship, children and weddings, all in a refined style that should not offend the most delicate of sensibilities. Well, not much...Jam-packed with recipes favoured (or not!) by the great and good of the Discworld, full of Nanny Ogg's unique wisdom and way with words, and peppered with apoplectic notes from the editor and the publisher, this is a treasure trove of literary, culinary and comic delights.A must- purchase for any fan of the legendary Sir Terry Pratchett.*Most of the recipes have been tried out on people who are still alive.__________________________________________________________________What fans are saying...'This is Nanny Ogg at her naughty best...I sniggered and snerked all the way through' - ***** Reader review'As expected, hilarious. This book documents some of the finest music recorded in the 80s and 90s.
A Practical Guide to Quality Management in Clinical Trial Research
Setting up a GXP environment where none existed previously is a very daunting task. Getting staff to write down what they do for every task is a correspondingly difficult and time-consuming exercise. Examining how to maintain quality control in clinical trial research, A Practical Guide to Quality Management in Clinical Trial Research provides a cornerstone of knowledge for establishing a quality system that complies with the relevant regulations. There are many books available that cover how to interpret regulations. Going a step or two further, this book provides practical advice that is useful on a daily basis. The book contains information for various standards including GLPs, GCPs, and GMPs. It gives detailed explanations of how to prepare, update, and maintain SOPs and includes advice on training and development of personnel. Drawing directly on his years of experience, the author delineates a from-the-trenches methodology that creates a value-added quality management system from a business perspective. He provides a solid foundation as well as tips and techniques for establishing a quality system that will comply with all the relevant regulations. The author's integrated approach and anecdotal style turns technically accurate information into easy reading. The book arms you with tools and concepts that you can use to go beyond regulatory compliance and move into the realm of business quality improvement.
Billy of Flawn: A tale of hope and belief for those who have lost a child and know that God will lead them home.
If you've suffered the loss of your child, you'll appreciate this book. Sammy Ogg went through what you're experiencing and felt God call on him to find solace through writing. He studied. He worked. He wept. He wrote. He prayed. This story, a work that took more than ten years to put to paper, brings to life the vision that God impressed on Sammy's heart. This story helped him learn to heal from the tragedy and to have faith in His process. Sammy's wish and his prayer is that you will find solace in this story as well.Billy's earthly life ended far too early. Struck by a car at only three years old, Billy is transported to Flawn, a magical land where all the children go when they leave earth too soon. There he meets Cypress and Hollyb his guardian angels and Kalos the winged horse who would take him on his journey. The tragedy on earth created a door for Billy to enter the realm of Flawn - part of the domain of Elohim, All-Powerful One. He was taken for reasons beyond his family's comprehension. Only Elohim knew that Billy was destined to be transformed into a formidable youngster whose mission he'd pursue with delight and energy in the land of Flawn. Elohim chose Billy above all the children for Billy's journey would decide an issue debated in the minds of men and angels since time began. The purpose of Elohim had surrounded Billy from birth. It was only a matter of time before that design placed him in a circle of events in which he was to play a major part. Follow along as Elohim guides Billy, his guardian angels, Kalos and others, to fulfill his destiny and help complete Elohim's plan.About Sammy: In 1947 Marguerite Hamilton Ogg of Fort Smith, AR, brought her young son, Sammy, age 7, to Hollywood. Her express purpose was to acquire a theatrical agent for Sammy so he could be an actor. Her determination paid off and Sammy started his acting career at age 11.In 1957 something happened that dramatically changed his young life. When he turned 18, he converted to Christ and within a year he'd enrolled in Life Bible College in LA, CA. There he met and married Doris and together, after graduation in 1962, they began a life of ministry that included singing, pastoring and evangelism. While pastoring in 1976, their youngest son, Billy, was taken out of this world by a tragic event. Their faith in God guided and comforted them during this dark time. Billy was now with the Lord and they held this knowledge in their hearts. Telling their other children, though, was fraught with heartache and sadness. The young family leaned on their faith and it helped them deal with their grief. God eventually led Sammy to share what happened and how God had helped lighten his grief. He chose to write in hopes that the story God helped him create would help others. God had taken Billy home and this book shares where he might have gone and how it might have been.
Protection from Refuge

Protection from Refuge

The places in which refugees seek sanctuary are often as dangerous and bleak as the conditions they fled. In response, many travel within and across borders in search of safety. As part of these journeys, refugees are increasingly turning to courts to ask for protection, not from persecution in their homeland, but from a place of 'refuge'. This book is the first global and comparative study of 'protection from refuge' litigation, examining whether courts facilitate or hamper refugee journeys with a particular focus on gender. Drawing on jurisprudence from Africa, Europe, North America and Oceania, Kate Ogg shows that courts have transitioned from adopting robust ideas of refuge to rudimentary ones. This trajectory indicates that courts can play a powerful role in creating more just and equitable refugee protection policies, but have, ultimately, compounded the difficulties inherent in finding sanctuary, perpetuating global inequities in refugee responsibility and rendering refuge elusive.
