As divergent as these three stories appear, they depict a common theme: cope, adapt, evolve, or perish. David Wakes Up occurs during the first fifteen minutes of a man awakening from an alcoholic stupor. The story examines the conflict of man against himself and alcoholism. Vox, an apparent children's yarn, applies a basic maxim: be watchful of unknowns meaning well, as they are capable of great damage. The Evolution is a "trip" through a psyche, a snapshot of archetypes if they could converse and what could be the nascent seeds of evolution.

Marzee Banks is a peeping Tom.Scantily clad college girls sunning on the beach, and spying through unsuspecting lovers' windows at night-these pursuits possess him. Discovering her address on the Internet, he visits her neighborhood, peeps through her bedroom window at night, and finally enters her house when it is vacant. What he discovers and what he hears while hiding frantically in a broom closet throws his already chaotic life into a frenzy. Loss, abandonment, grief, and trust-all rush in to replace his obsessions as he races to protect that from which he yearned to escape.

Die Schlacht, in der K nig Otto I. die Ungarn besiegte und dadurch ihren Raubz gen nach Westeuropa ein Ende bereitete. Dieser Sieg hatte nicht nur fundamentale Auswirkungen auf das ungarische Volk, auch f r Otto bedeutete er einen Wendepunkt seiner Herrschaft. Denn seit seinem Regierungsantritt 936 durch Aufst nde, zuerst dem seines Bruders und danach seines Sohnes, mehrmals an den Rand einer Niederlage gebracht, ging Otto I. nun gest rkt und in seiner Position gefestigt aus dieser Auseinandersetzung. Der Erfolg auf dem Lechfeld hat nicht nur sein Ansehen in Europa sehr gesteigert, auch innenpolitisch festigte er damit seine Herrschaft endg ltig.
