Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are a popular form of network for data transfer due to the fact that they are dynamic, require no fixed infrastructure, and are scalable. However, MANETs are particularly susceptible to several different types of widely perpetrated cyberattack. One of the most common hacks aimed at MANETs is the Black Hole attack, in which a particular node within the network displays itself as having the shortest path for the node whose packets it wants to intercept. Once the packets are drawn to the Black Hole, they are then dropped instead of relayed, and the communication of the MANET is thereby disrupted, without knowledge of the other nodes in the network. Due to the sophistication of the Black Hole attack, there has been a lot of research conducted on how to detect it and prevent it. The authors of this short format title provide their research results on providing an effective solution to Black Hole attacks, including introduction of new MANET routing protocols that can be implemented in order to improve detection accuracy and network parameters such as total dropped packets, end-to-end delay, packet delivery ratio, and routing request overhead.

Under-five morbidity and mortality is a great public health problem and has deleterious effect on the health of children globally. Despite the decline in child morbidity and mortality rates globally, the under-five mortality rate is still high in most African countries. Although the causes of mortality of children in Africa have been identified, and there has been a substantial improvement in health status in the last decade, Africa still remains a continent with high prevalence of under-5 mortality. Nigeria in particular has a high under-five mortality rate which is estimated to be 143 per 1000 live births. The effect of social determinants of health on this high mortality rate remains under studied in Africa. Intimate partner violence (IPV) is assumed to be one of these social determinants which adversely affect the capacity of the mother to care for the child.

Eintausendzweihundertachtzehn (1.218) Erwachsene wurden nach dem Zufallsprinzip als Teilnehmer f r die Untersuchung ausgew hlt und f nf Instrumente wie die Barkley Adult ADHD Rating Scale-IV (BAARS-IV), die Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D), der Social Functioning Questionnaire (SFQ), der General Health Questionnaire (GHQ) und die Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy Scale (CDMSE) wurden f r die Untersuchung verwendet. Mittelwert, Standardabweichung (S.D.), Abweichungsschwelle (+1,5 S.D.), Prozentsatz und multiple Regressionsanalyse wurden f r die Analyse der gesammelten Daten verwendet, w hrend sieben Hypothesen getestet wurden. Eines der vielen Ergebnisse zeigte jedoch eine Pr valenz von 7,6 % der Erwachsenen mit den kombinierten ADHS-Symptomen Unaufmerksamkeit, Hyperaktivit t und Impulsivit t f r positive Symptomz hlungen f r aktuelle ADHS-Symptome in der Allgemeinbev lkerung, die nach eigenen Angaben von klinischer Bedeutung sind.
