Dort findet man im Vergleich zu heutigen W rterb chern eine F lle von morphologischen, phonologischen oder semantischen Unterschieden. Trotz dieser auf allen Ebenen der Linguistik stattfindenden Ver nderungen, handelt es sich in beiden F llen dennoch um die deutsche Sprache. Coserius Theorie ber den Wandel von Sprache ist in seine Theorie von der Sprache im Allgemeinen eingebettet, in der er den Wandel nicht als Zeichen f r eine malade Sprache betrachtet, sondern als geradezu charakteristisches Merkmal einer funktionierenden Sprache herausarbeitet, denn das " ...] Latein Ciceros hat aufgeh rt, als historische Sprache zu funktionieren, gerade weil es aufgeh rt hat, sich zu ver ndern ...]." (Coseriu 1974: 24) Ziel dieser Arbeit soll sein, anhand der Theorie von Eugenio Coseriu festzustellen, in welchem Spannungsfeld sich Wandel innerhalb einer Sprache vollzieht und weiter, inwiefern Coserius Theorie selbst einem Wandel unterliegt. Hierzu werde ich zun chst Coserius Betrachtung von Sprache und die sprachphilosophische respektive sprachwissenschaftliche Tradition aus der er hervorgegangen ist, beleuchten (Kap. 2.1). In der Folge geht es um die verschiedenen Ebenen einer Sprache, die Coseriu in zwei Hierarchien aufteilt (Kap. 2.1.1 und 2.1.2).
