Einleitung "Wortgeographie der hochdeutschen Umgangssprache" Die 1.Auflage der "Wortgeographie der hochdeutschen Umgangssprache" von Paul Kretschmer erschien 1918 und ist heute von historischem Wert. Allerdings bildet die 2. durchgesehene und erg nzte Auflage f r diese Hausarbeit die Grundlage, die 1969 im Verlag Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht in G ttingen erschien, insbesondere jedoch die darin enthaltene Einleitung. Innerhalb des Erhebungszeitraums zwischen 1910 bis 1916/1918 wurden entscheidende Ver nderungen der deutschen Wortlandschaft dokumentiert, da es w hrend und nach dem 1.Weltkrieg zu Verschiebungen ganzer Bev lkerungsgruppen kam. Daraus resultierten eine neue Zusammensetzung in gebliebenen Provinzen und fremdsprachige Einfl sse von West und Ost. Die Nachpr fung der erhobenen Daten erfolgte von 1919 bis 1922 in der Zeit nach Abschlie ung der Erhebung und dem Ende des 1. Weltkrieges, das hei t, dass man fortw hrende Bev lkerungswanderungen weitestgehend ausschlie en kann und somit die Daten f r damalige Verh ltnisse recht zuverl ssig sein d rften. Die zweite Auflage wurde urspr nglich schon 1938 vom Autor der ersten Auflage, Paul Kretschmer, beabsichtigt, die nach dem Handexemplar des Verfassers erg nzt ist. So wurden au erdem alle Notizen Kretschmers, die eine erweiternde Information boten, bernommen. Dabei handelt es sich um weitere Angaben ber das Vorkommen einzelner W rter, vereinzelt auch um sp ter erschienene Literatur, besonders die Rezension von R. Euling in den G ttingischen Gelehrten Anzeigen 185 von 1923 wurde hier miteinbezogen. Besonders interessant an dieser Auflage ist, dass Kretschmers Tochter, Dr. Erika Helm-Kretschmer, bei der Auswertung der Notizen half. Der Gegenstand des Buches ist die geograph
