Inversion II - Creatures, Fairies, and Haints, Oh My!
Inversion II - Creatures, Fairies, and Haints, Oh My is the second volume of Author Paul Stansbury's Inversion Series. In these stories, you will again experience a world where the rules as you know them do not always apply. There you will find the creatures are, as you would imagine, a bit out of the ordinary. For the most part, they are unsavory beings and best avoided. You will also find fairies: imaginary beings of supernatural powers. Usually seen in human form, they can be clever, playful, but can also prove mischievous given the right circumstances. And as for haints, those of you from the South may be familiar with the word. Haints are manifestations attributed to something beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature - spirits and spooks so to speak.

Inversion III - The Lighter Shades of Greys is the third volume of Author Paul Stansbury's Inversion Series. In these stories, you will again experience a world where the rules as you know them do not always apply. As you might guess from the title of this volume, the stories deal in some fashion with beings from other worlds. There may be one or two characters you will encounter whose origins may be in question, but take it from me, they are not from this neck of the woods. If you are looking for creepy alien abduction yarns, these stories are not for you. Nor will you find cataclysmic invasions of vicious, flesh eating space monsters on the menu. As the subtitle for this volume indicates, these stories are on the lighter side perhaps even humorous. The beings you will encounter here are most certainly of a kinder, gentler variety, although not too sweet.

Inversion IV - Another Injection of Speculative Fiction, is the fourth volume of speculative fiction stories by Author Paul Stansbury. The reader is invited to a world where the Laws, those regularly occurring or apparently inevitable phenomenon that govern what happens to us, operate differently than what we would expect. In the speculative fiction world, the rules as we know them do not always apply. Or could it be the rules as we thought we knew them?

Foursome: Alfred Stieglitz, Georgia O'Keeffe, Paul Strand, Rebecca Salsbury
A captivating, spirited account of the intense relationship among four artists whose strong personalities and aesthetic ideals drew them together, pulled them apart, and profoundly influenced the very shape of twentieth-century art. New York, 1921: acclaimed photographer Alfred Stieglitz celebrates the success of his latest exhibition--the centerpiece, a series of nude portraits of his soon-to-be wife, the young Georgia O'Keeffe. The exhibit acts as a turning point for the painter poised to make her entrance into the art scene. There she meets Rebecca Salsbury, the fianc of Stieglitz's prot g , Paul Strand, marking the start of a bond between the couples that will last more than a decade and reverberate throughout their lives. In the years that followed, O'Keeffe and Stieglitz become the preeminent couple in American modern art, spurring on each other's creativity. Observing their relationship leads Salsbury to encourage new artistic possibilities for Strand and to rethink her own potential as an artist.

Paul is the most powerful human personality in the history of the Church. A missionary, theologian, and religious genius, in his epistles he laid the foundations on which later Christian theology was built. In his highly original introduction to Paul's life and thought, E. P. Sanders, whose research on Paul has substantially influenced recent scholarship, pays equal attention to Paul's fundamental convictions and the sometimes convoluted ways in which they were worked out. ABOUT THE SERIES: The Very Short Introductions series from Oxford University Press contains hundreds of titles in almost every subject area. These pocket-sized books are the perfect way to get ahead in a new subject quickly. Our expert authors combine facts, analysis, perspective, new ideas, and enthusiasm to make interesting and challenging topics highly readable.
