Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was an Indian jurist, scholar, political leader and a Buddhist revivalist. He was the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution. He played a great role in framing of Indian Constitution. He was the first Law Minister of India. He spent his whole life fighting against Social discrimination and untouchability. He was posthumously awarded the highest civilian award: the Bharat Ratna, in 1990. Dr. Ambedkar is viewed as messiah of dalits and downtrodden in India. Though he was the son of large family of then called 'Untouchable' Mahar caste, still he managed to get the highest degree of education and scaled even higher political heights and wisdom. This book offers a reading of Bhimrao Ambedkar’s engagement with the idea and practice of socialism in India by linking it to his lifelong political and philosophical concerns: the annihilation of the caste system, untouchability and the moral and philosophical systems that justify either. Rather than view his ideas through a socialist lens, the author suggests that it is important to measure the validity of socialist thought and practice in the Indian context, through his critique of the social totality. The book argues its case by presenting a broad and connected overview of his thought world and the global and local influences that shaped it. The themes that are taken up for discussion include: his understanding of the colonial rule and the colonial state; history and progress; nationalism and the questions he posed the socialists; his radical critique of the caste system and Brahmancal philosophies, and his unusual interpretation of Buddhism.

Agroforestry is the new terminology for the age-old tradition of land use system, which has been practiced by domesticating food crops with trees and animals since time immemorial in Nepal.In this study, ArcGIS 9.3, Imagine 9.3 and SPSS software are used for mapping land and analyzing the socio-economic data. In the study area, livestock raising is also of a subsistence nature. It is conclude that based on observation and discussion with the villagers, the (wards 1 and 8) Whandi and Tolka areas are suitable for silvi-pasture, for livestock, buffaloes and sheep/goats keeping should be encouraged. Haijung (ward 4) and Tamijung (ward 2) are suitable for silvi-horticultural system.To sum up, there is a strong linkage between the people and the trees. It includes food and nutrition, energy, off-farm employment, income, medicine, and sustainable agriculture and livestock production. These are especially vital among rural poor.

The book, first in its nature written on the Nepalese Diaspora and its creative works, deals with the development and theorization of Nepalese Diaspora and its literary creations. It discusses the growth of Nepali transnational migration of more than two centuries and its role in the formation of the Nepali Diaspora. The emotions and imaginations of these people have been expressed in different literary genres; and poetry is the prominent one. The poems included in the analysis are from the UK, the USA and the Canada; and composed by Nepalese Diaspora poets. The focus of the analysis is the portrayal and expression of the emotions the Nepali Diaspora societies have been undergoing. The time tested theory of rasa from the Himalayan civilization and its connection with modern theories of human emotions has been the theoretical base of this analysis. Each of the selected poem's title, the location it is based on, the characters used in it along with its theme and stylistic features have intricate connections with the expressions of personal and social emotions. This book displays how social realities get their place in literature.
