Sam discovers a secret and it shakes her whole world to the extent she is willing to leave it all behind when a stranger offers her a new life. She can start again, but only if she leaves everything behind and follows him through a magical Portal only he can control. What waits for her on the other side is a nightmare, and she soon realises the enormity of the mistake she's made. She needs to find a way home, but she needs help and allies are hard to find. Broken Promises, A Portal Series novel, is Sam's story. This is what happened before The Portal Between.

Uncovers a new chapter in the story of American modernist poetry.Perhaps best known for her outstanding translation of Sappho, poet Mary Barnard (1909–2001) has until recently received little attention for her own work. In this book, Sarah Barnsley examines Barnard's poetry and poetics in the light of her plentiful correspondence with Ezra Pound, William Carlos Williams, and others. Presenting Barnard as a "late Imagist," Barnsley links Barnard's search for a poetry grounded in native speech to efforts within American modernism for new forms in the American grain. Barnsley finds that where Pound and Williams began the campaign for a modern poetry liberated from the "heave" of the iambic pentameter, Barnard completed it through a "spare but musical" aesthetic derived from her studies of Greek metric and American speech rhythms, channeled through materials drawn direct from the American local. The first book on Barnard, and the first to draw on the Barnard archives at Yale's Beinecke Library, Mary Barnard, American Imagist unearths a fascinating and previously untold chapter of twentieth-century American poetry.
Reimagining Employment Dispute Resolution and Enforcement

This open access book examines the evolution of employment tribunals from a speedy, informal process to a system marked by delays and significant financial and human costs. Resolving disputes in the workplace is difficult, expensive and emotionally charged. The current system is broken but what is the answer? Using material from a large-scale empirical study, including a survey of over 200 practitioners, the book examines the problems facing the system. It then examines how these problems are addressed in other jurisdictions both in the UK and in other countries. The book then considers what can be done. It suggests that by locating labour law disputes within a contract-tort-human rights frame this takes insufficient account of the fundamental emotional and behavioural factors that are in play. The book therefore argues that much can be learnt from the resolution of family law disputes, whether it be in relation to how a relationship that has ended can be satisfactorily concluded, or how a relationship with ongoing ties can be managed going forwards. Utilising this theoretical reframing, the book proposes a blueprint for the future of employment dispute resolution. This book is for policy makers, practitioners and academics, looking for a rigorous empirical and theoretical analysis of what has gone wrong with employment dispute resolution and what can be done about it. The ebook editions of this book are available open access under a CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 licence on bloomsburycollections.com.

"How it All Vegan!" is known to its fans as The Vegan Bible and it won the award for Best Vegan Cookbook when it was first published. Now available for the first time in a fully metricated anglicised edition this book is the natural successor to Vegan with a Vengeance which Grub Street published last year and is now in its third printing. Sarah and Tanya are long-time friends and self-described 'lazy vegetarians' whose love of animals made them want to completely eliminate animal products from their diet. Their decision to 'go vegan' was a challenge not only to their palate but to their way of thinking about food and nutrition. With some imagination and a little know-how, the transition to a vegan lifestyle can be painless. And as Sarah and Tanya demonstrate in "How It All Vegan!" vegan food is fabulous food, full of flavour and has all the nutrients you need. Two-colour throughout, the book's chapters include main courses, soups, sauces, breads, salads, and desserts; there are recipes for blue banana muffins, mushroom barley stew, chocolate cheese-less cake, tofu jerky, and vegan versions of ice cream, and mayonnaise. There are even instructions on turning other aspects of your life vegan: recipes for cosmetics, hair products, pet treats, and household cleaners. With its campy '50s style illustrations, unusual concoctions, and cool, punky sensibility, "How It All Vegan!" will tempt readers to animal-proof their diet and join the vegan empire.

Deakin and Morris’ Labour Law, a work cited as authoritative in the higher appellate courts of several jurisdictions, provides a comprehensive analysis of current British labour law which explains the role of different legal and extra-legal sources in its evolution, including collective bargaining, international labour standards, and human rights. The new edition, while following the broad pattern of previous ones, highlights important new developments in the content of the law, and in its wider social, economic and policy context. Thus the consequences of Brexit are considered along with the emerging effects of the Covid-19 crisis, the increasing digitisation of work, and the implications for policy of debates over the role of the law in constituting and regulating the labour market. The book examines in detail the law governing individual employment relations, with chapters covering the definition of the employment relationship; the sources and regulation of terms and conditions of employment; discipline and termination of employment; and equality of treatment. This is followed by an analysis of the elements of collective labour law, including the forms of collective organisation, freedom of association, employee representation, internal trade union government, and the law relating to industrial action. The seventh edition of Deakin and Morris’ Labour Law is an essential text for students of law and of disciplines related to management and industrial relations, for barristers and solicitors working in the field of labour law, and for all those with a serious interest in the subject. This title is included in Bloomsbury Professional's Employment Law online service.

Ist ungemein ngstlich, was ungewohnte Situationen betrifft. Also legen Sie all Ihre Sch chternheit und ngste beiseite. Viel Freude beim n chsten Date Sarah Bernardi
