An Ascended Master (channeled by the author) brings forth an eye-opening introduction to the current ascension of humankind and the corresponding ascension of Mother Earth. How do we, as individuals on this beautiful planet, personally contribute to this process in positive and enlightening ways? Archangels, Ascended Masters, Extraterrestrials and Earth's light workers are here to help us traverse this new state of being. This particular Ascended Master, who wishes to remain anonymous, explains these changes in simple terms so that the messages can reach as many people as possible. This is an urgent call for anyone feeling the pull in their hearts to actively and consciously embody love and to contribute in positive ways to this ascension. This is a choice we are being asked to make now. It starts with you and your self-love. As the person who channeled this book, I do not know who brought this content forward. However, I felt their love and patience as I captured the sentences on my laptop every night and early morning for 20 days in October of 2018. I've also sensed the urgency in getting this book published. The time is at hand to awaken to what is going on around us, and to choose whether or not we'll embody love or fear as these events unfold. The messages around unconditional love and the one-ness that is our true nature are universal and so very important for these times. I myself have vowed to follow my divine will and step fully into my life's purpose. The channeling of this book has been a humbling and heart-touching experience for me on this path. Wishing all of you love, happiness and peace on your paths.

Soulology is the study of life and life's process. Within this book our main focus will relate to the process of dis-ease. Discussing: What is dis-ease? Why do we have dis-ease? How do we overcome dis-ease? and How can we prevent dis-ease? This book contains an encyclopedia of dis-ease from A-Z, which includes an explanation of their soulological causes as to why we have them. The thoughts (thought patterns), feelings, beliefs and behaviors associated with each dis-ease. Along with an understanding of the soul learning for each dis-ease and some tips and tools on how to help you acquire your soul learning, thereby overcoming your dis-ease. Or, more importantly, preventing dis-ease from reaching the physical body by catching our soul learning's ahead of time through the life experiences presented to us, which first has our emotponal, mental and spiritual in dis-ease before the physical body ever feels it. Dis-ease is not meant to make us suffer, rather only as a reminder from our soul that we are growing and learning. Within our realm of existence there is a positive and negative nature within all things. This principle includes dis-ease as well. Dis-ease is not bad, and it just didn't accidentally happen; it is part of a divine plan. It is evolution, our progression forward. Dis-ease is a last attempt to make us deal with what our soul must learn in order to overcome the dis-ease and continue to grow. Life experiences provide us with the opportunity to learn our soul learnings in order for our us to grow and continue to evolve. We go through many different experiences, both positive and negative in nature, so that we can learn. Experiencing different situations in our life requires us to deal with certain soul learnings, which in actuality are the specific life lessons that we are here to learn.

Authoritarianism is on the march—and so is dystopian fiction. In the brave new twenty-first century, young-adult series like The Hunger Games and Divergent have become blockbusters; after Donald Trump’s election, two dystopian classics, 1984 and The Handmaid’s Tale, skyrocketed to the New York Times best-seller list. This should come as no surprise: dystopian fiction has a lot to say about the perils of terrible government in real life.In Survive and Resist, Amy L. Atchison and Shauna L. Shames explore the ways in which dystopian narratives help explain how real-world politics work. They draw on classic and contemporary fiction, films, and TV shows—as well as their real-life counterparts—to offer funny and accessible explanations of key political concepts. Atchison and Shames demonstrate that dystopias both real and imagined help bring theories of governance, citizenship, and the state down to earth. They emphasize nonviolent resistance and change, exploring ways to challenge and overcome a dystopian-style government. Fictional examples, they argue, help give us the tools we need for individual survival and collective resistance. A clever look at the world through the lenses of pop culture, classic literature, and real-life events, Survive and Resist provides a timely and innovative approach to the fundamentals of politics for an era of creeping tyranny.

Uncompromising and innovative, hardcore punk in Washington, DC, birthed a new sound and nurtured a vibrant subculture aimed at a specific segment of the city's youth. Shayna L. Maskell explores DC's hardcore scene during its short but storied peak. Led by bands like Bad Brains and Minor Threat, hardcore in the nation's capital unleashed music as angry and loud as it was fast and minimalistic. Maskell examines the music's aesthetics and the unique impact of DC's sociopolitical realities on the sound and the scene that emerged. As she shows, aspects of the music's structure merged with how bands performed it to put across distinctive representations of race, class, and gender. But those representations could be as complicated and contradictory as they were explicit. A fascinating analysis of a punk rock hotbed, Politics as Sound tells the story of how a generation created music that produced--and resisted--politics and power.
