Alel is a demon, and he is good at lying. The image he wears is a lie--no one can see his wings or barbed tail, nor can they see the horns peeking from a shag of hair salted with strands of white and pale gray. Half-starved, Alel is short and gangly and has lavender freckles dusted across his nose and cheeks. Lust created him along with all other incubi and succubae for one reason--to encourage humans to sin while feeding off of their sexual energy. Anything more than carnal acts is forbidden, but Alel yearns to be kissed, to bury his face in the crook of a lover's neck and hold them until dawn. When he meets a human named Jackson, who's more interested in snuggling on the couch while watching movies and making out instead of one-night stands, Alel realizes dating Jackson would leave him famished, but he can't resist the temptation. As their relationship builds, Alel and Jackson explore the boundaries of both sexual and romantic intimacy. The more they're together, the more they fall in love, but Alel knows if another demon ever catches him, he'll be dragged back to hell for breaking taboo.

To these enigmatic Fae, a wandering twink is a treasure, a lost lamb as well as a delightfully welcome plaything. Their world is one of endless pleasures, and they envy a taste of the human experience-its ever-flowing cornucopia of emotion, love, and pain. They don't understand us. Nor we them. That's their gift, as well as their curse.Fairy Tail is an anthology where fairies and humans cross paths, exchanging their stories and their passion. The king of fairies awaits a human of unequaled skill to blow his royal phallus. A man longing for an end to his lonesome nights is granted his wish by a forlorn selkie seeking love. A gluttonous Fae risks his human lover's demise with one final, glorious sexual act. Trek the dark, ancient forests with us as we explore the frailty of humanity, the callousness of the Fae, and the silver magic that forever ties the two together.

Sita's Daughters: Coming Out of Purdah

Leigh Minturn

Leigh Minturn in this work recounts the dramatic changes in the role and status of Indian women in the Rajput caste of Khalapur that have taken place between 1955 and 1975. She explains the relationship of these changes to the decline in the observance of a complex system of customs collectively called purdah, which include the veiling of women's faces and bodies, subservient posture when speaking to men, separation of husbands and wives and deference of young wives to their mothers-in-law. The decline in the observance of the customs has both led to and been fostered by modernization. Unlike other studies of Indian women, Minturn preserves the individuality of her subjects.

Sita's Ramayana

The Ramayana is an epic poem by the Hindu sage Valmiki, written in ancient Sanskrit sometime after 300 BC. It is an allegorical story that contains important Hindu teachings, and it has had great influence on Indian life and culture over the centuries. Children are often encouraged to emulate the virtues of the two main characters -- Rama and Sita. The Ramayana is frequently performed as theater or dance, and two Indian festivals -- Dussehra and Divali -- celebrate events in the story. This version of The Ramayana is told from the perspective of Sita, the queen. After she, her husband Rama and his brother are exiled from their kingdom, Sita is captured by the proud and arrogant king Ravana and imprisoned in a garden across the ocean. Ravana never stops trying to convince Sita to be his wife, but she steadfastly refuses his advances. Eventually Rama comes to her rescue with the help of the monkey Hanuman and his army. But Rama feels he can't trust Sita again. He forces Sita to undergo an ordeal by fire to prove herself to be true and pure. She is shocked and in grief and anger does so. She emerges unscathed and they return home to their kingdom as king and queen. However, suspicion haunts their relationship, and Sita once more finds herself in the forest, but this time she is pregnant. She has twins and continues to live in the forest with them. The story is exciting and dramatic, with many turns of plot. Magic animals, snakes, divine gods, demons, sorcerers and a vast cast of characters all play a part in the fierce battles fought to win Sita back. And in the process the story explores ideas of right vs. wrong, compassion, loyalty, trust, honor and the terrible price of war.

The book also explores motherhood through poems that look at the mother-child bond, ""the formless, uncharted shape of love,"" as well as the pain of childbirth, ""It rises—multi-hued, magnificent.
