L'obesit una condizione eterogenea e il rischio di esiti clinici correlati nei diversi fenotipi dell'obesit un argomento controverso. Em seguida, o risco de mortalidade por todas as causas e DCV, ajustado por idade e sexo, foi estimado usando modelos de riscos proporcionais de Cox.

MHAO zdefiniowano jako otylośc brzuszną (obw d talii >=91 cm dla kobiet i >=89 cm dla mężczyzn) z prawidlowym profilem metabolicznym, spelniającym mniej niż 2 kryteria wsp lnego oświadczenia tymczasowego (z wylączeniem obwodu talii). Następnie oszacowano ryzyko śmiertelności z wszystkich przyczyn oraz CVD, skorygowane o wiek i plec, przy użyciu modeli proporcjonalnego ryzyka Coxa.
