The book also includes ideas for creating the perfect ambiance for a successful afternoon tea party from place settings to music to floral displays. In addition there are anecdotes and background information about living in the Jardin de France. Blending this with information about the local markets on her doorstep, regional produce and a snapshot of the history of the locale, the author has produced a book containing favourite tried and tested recipes and also ideas giving an insight into the life and times of running an English style Salon de Th in the Loire Valley in France
