Watching As Passion Sleeps, is a collection of poetry that was written to touch different pieces of my life. All of us feel and live things in our lives that we think we deal with alone, not realizing that there are others that feel the same so I would like to share some of my life with my readers. This collection also explores what comes to light as we sleep. Many pieces were born from dreams and nightmares because I feel we express a lot of our wants and fears when we're sleeping and sometimes we don't want to realize we're doing it. I hope that this book will be enjoyed by others as well as felt by those who may feel some of my words and know they aren't alone. Please enjoy.

The Complete Jewish Guide to France is the only resource you need to embark on a trip through Jewish France. Travel writer and journalist Toni L. Kamins catalogs information on well-known sights and little-known treasures, such as the Marais district (Paris's celebrated Jewish neighborhood), ancient ghettos, beautiful old synagogues around the country, and many other places. She includes information on transportation and lodging, plus hundreds of places to buy kosher food. Selected photographs and maps fill out the picture. Kamins also recounts the nearly two thousand years of French-Jewish history beginning with evidence that Jews may have lived in France as early as the first century, and continuing right up to the present day. The Complete Jewish Guide to France has everything you need to know to make your trip to France a success-and to put it into a historical context that will make it even more worthwhile.

Outsourcing Like a BossThis book will serve established small business owners (with revenue of six-figures to seven-figures) who do everything themselves. With the ever-growing fast-paced advancements in technology, most business owners do not realise the potential improvements that are available to them within their grasp. Why? They have started their business, built it from scratch (usually from home), now have a location, and are wearing all of the hats within their business and are too consumed by the workload. Yes, you (the business owner) might have wonderful family holidays, take breaks often to recharge, but do you take the time to re-evaluate your business to streamline and automate it with a human touch? This book will describe how I, Toni Turner, the owner and founder of Diverse Glass & Aluminium, worked alongside my husband to build our trade-based business from a startup to become an award-winning seven-figure company with twelve team members and over ten virtual assistants. You will learn how to break your business down into categories and assess what you have to ensure you are providing excellent high-quality service to your customers, effective and efficient with automation and most importantly, profitability. My purpose in life is to help small business owners to end each day with happiness, joy and love for their business. This will be achieved by hiring offshore virtual assistants for a fraction of the price you would pay for a local employee. By changing your mindset and allowing a shift, you'll develop a new understanding of virtual assistants and how they can implement many changes within your business to be cost-effective, enthusiastic and to relieve time from you to allow you to Outsource Like a Boss.

NUCKED Misadventures with the IDORA PARK EXPERIENCE NINJAS is a memoir... sort of. Hang on tight as you join the Ameys and their trusty sidekick, Nuck, a havoc causing 3'3" tall knucklehead ninja, on a series of hilarious, inspiring and sometimes heartbreaking misadventures as the three follow every lead, for better or worse, on their way to creating The Idora Park Experience. The unlikely trio will have you crying with laughter, cheering in victory, screaming out in warning and on rare occasion cursing in defeat, as they criss-cross the country pursuing long lost artifacts from Idora Park, a beloved amusement park in Youngstown, Ohio, that died decades ago as a result of a tragic fire and the dying steel industry. In NUCKED you'll learn the answers to the three questions the Ameys hear most often: "How did you get started doing this?", "How did you get all this stuff?", and "Are you nuts?"Well, that last one, they leave for you to decide.About the Ameys and The Idora Park ExperienceJames "Jim" Amey, like so many Youngstown, Ohio, natives, spent much of his childhood at Idora Park, an amusement park located on the city's south side. In 1976 at the age of eighteen, with no local job prospects at hand, Jim joined the military and left Youngstown. It would be 17 years before he'd walk the grounds of Idora Park again and by that time, it had been dead almost 10 years.Trespassing onto the old Idora Park property (It's okay, everyone does it), Jim and his wife Toni (he calls her Spike, but that's another story...) were shocked and heartbroken to see Youngstown's beloved Idora Park abandoned, dilapidated and disappearing from existence. The Ameys spent the next 20 years collecting "stuff" from Idora Park as a way of holding on to the memories. What started out as an event poster, ticket stub, or game prize, here and there, eventually became parts to rides and structures and a full-blown obsession (aka passion). Along the way, they met some amazing (and oftentimes odd) people and had some crazy and unbelievable adventures.Their experiences along with the realization that they had inadvertently become the curators of a large part of the heart, soul, and joy that was once Youngstown, led them to believe there must be a higher purpose to what they were doing... otherwise, they were just hoarders. They knew they needed to find a way to share their experiences and collection with others. In 2013 they built a 4400 square foot building next to their home in Canfield, Ohio, to house the enormous collection of Idora Park artifacts and in April of 2014, 30 years after the fire that destroyed Idora Park, they welcomed over 1,000 people to the grand opening weekend of The Idora Park Experience. Because of local zoning issues, the museum only opens a few days each year but has had more than 10,000 visitors to date and enjoys a large social media following. The Ameys are the authors of the book, "Lost Idora Park," published in 2019 by Arcadia Publishing.

Over the past two decades, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) emerged as a leading-edge method for helping parents improve their children's disruptive and oppositional behavior. Today, PCIT has a robust evidence base; is used across the country in settings as diverse as hospitals, mental health centers, schools, and mobile clinics; and is rapidly gaining popularity in other parts of the world. In keeping with this increasing recognition of PCIT's effectiveness, the authors of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy present this expanded clinical edition to keep readers up to date on new practice developments, current treatment protocols, and the latest research findings. This update retains the fundamentals as detailed by PCIT's founder, Dr. Sheila Eyberg, including an overview of the therapy, detailed description of the course of treatment, and handout materials. The text goes further to explore the evolution of PCIT outside the original target ages of three-to-six (including preventive PCIT for very young children at risk) and examines the use of PCIT with special child populations, such as abuse victims and those with ADHD. Contributing experts discuss uses of the therapy in school, at home, with minorities, and with highly stressed families. But regardless of the population, setting, or topic covered, interventions remain faithful to basic PCIT principles and methods.New features of the expanded second edition include:Adaptations of PCIT for babies, toddlers, preteens, and siblings.Applications for abuse survivors, children with developmental disabilities, ADHD, and severe aggression problems. Uses of PCIT with separating or divorced parents.Culturally relevant PCIT for ethnic minority and international families.Teacher-child, staff-child, and home-based applications.PCIT training guidelines.A brand-new chapter summarizing current research supporting PCIT.As PCIT broadens its scope, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Second Edition, brings innovative ideas and proven techniques to clinical child psychologists, school psychologists, and other mental health providers working to enhance the lives of children and their families.
