"Kevin was acting weird, he picked up one of the kitchen knives, sometimes he jabbed it, as if making a debating point, the conversation continued, about music now, I did not like the way Kevin sometimes pointed the knife at me, he seemed strangely angry and aggressive..." In old age L looked back fondly on the time he went down the rabbit-hole, where he met Irish Jack, Honey and Milena. And then there was Kevin - not forgetting Malcolm Lowry and his manuscripts and his first wife, Jan Gabrial. What Vronsky Did Next - a novel about books, lovers, drink and drugs. And Kevin.

A comprehensive examination into the frightening history of serial homicide--including information on America's most prolific serial killers such as: "Co-ed Killer" Ed Kemper - The BTK Killer - "Highway Stalker" Henry Lee Lucas - Monte Ralph Rissell - "Shoe Fetish Slayer" Jerry Brudos - "Night Stalker" Richard Ramirez - "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski - Ed Gein "The Butcher of Plainfield" - "Killer Clown" John Wayne Gacy - Ted Bundy - Andrew Cunanan - And more... In this unique book, Peter Vronsky documents the psychological, investigative, and cultural aspects of serial murder, beginning with its first recorded instance in Ancient Rome through fifteenth-century France on to such notorious contemporary cases as cannibal/necrophile Ed Kemper, the BTK killer, Henry Lee Lucas, Monte Ralph Rissell, Jerry Brudos, Richard Ramirez, "Unabomber" Ted Kaczynski, Ed Gein, John Wayne Gacy, Ted Bundy, and the emergence of what he classifies as the "serial rampage killer" such as Andrew Cunanan, who murdered fashion designer Gianni Versace. Vronsky not only offers sound theories on what makes a serial killer but also makes concrete suggestions on how to survive an encounter with one--from recognizing verbal warning signs to physical confrontational resistance. Exhaustively researched with transcripts of interviews with killers, and featuring up-to-date information on the apprehension and conviction of the Green River killer and the Beltway Snipers, Vronsky's one-of-a-kind book covers every conceivable aspect of an endlessly riveting true-crime phenomenon. Female Serial Killers: How and Why Women Become Monsters
In this fascinating book, Peter Vronsky exposes and investigates the phenomenon of women who kill--and the political, economic, social and sexual implications buried with each victim. How many of us are even remotely prepared to imagine our mothers, daughters, sisters or grandmothers as fiendish killers? For centuries we have been conditioned to think of serial murderers and psychopathic predators as men--with women registering low on our paranoia radar. Perhaps that's why so many trusting husbands, lovers, family friends, and children have fallen prey to "the female monster." From history's earliest recorded cases of homicidal females to Irma Grese, the Nazi Beast of Belsen, from Britain's notorious child-slayer Myra Hindley to 'Honeymoon Killer' Martha Beck to the sensational cult of Aileen Wournos--the first female serial killer-as-celebrity--to cult killers, homicidal missionaries, and our pop-culture fascination with the sexy femme fatale, Vronsky not only challenges our ordinary standards of good and evil but also defies our basic accepted perceptions of gender role and identity. From the author of Serial Killers: The Method and Madness of Monsters comes an in-depth examination of sexual serial killers throughout human history, how they evolved, and why we are drawn to their horrifying crimes. Before the term was coined in 1981, there were no "serial killers." There were only "monsters"--killers society first understood as werewolves, vampires, ghouls and witches or, later, Hitchcockian psychos. In Sons of Cain--a book that fills the gap between dry academic studies and sensationalized true crime--investigative historian Peter Vronsky examines our understanding of serial killing from its prehistoric anthropological evolutionary dimensions in the pre-civilization era (c. 15,000 BC) to today. Delving further back into human history and deeper into the human psyche than Serial Killers--Vronsky's 2004 book, which has been called the definitive history of serial murder--he focuses strictly on sexual serial killers: thrill killers who engage in murder, rape, torture, cannibalism and necrophilia, as opposed to for-profit serial killers, including hit men, or "political" serial killers, like terrorists or genocidal murderers. These sexual serial killers differ from all other serial killers in their motives and their foundations. They are uniquely human and--as popular culture has demonstrated--uniquely fascinating.
American Serial Killers: The Deadliest Years 1950-2000
Fans of Mindhunter and true crime podcasts will devour these chilling stories of serial killers from the American "Golden Age" (1950-2000). With books like Serial Killers, Female Serial Killers and Sons of Cain, Peter Vronsky has established himself as the foremost expert on the history of serial killers. In this first definitive history of the "Golden Age" of American serial murder, when the number and body count of serial killers exploded, Vronsky tells the stories of the most unusual and prominent serial killings from the 1950s to the early twenty-first century. From Ted Bundy to the Golden State Killer, our fascination with these classic serial killers seems to grow by the day. American Serial Killers gives true crime junkies what they crave, with both perennial favorites (Ed Kemper, Jeffrey Dahmer) and lesser-known cases (Melvin Rees, Harvey Glatman).

WARNING: SOME PHOTOS ARE GRAPHIC Chris Dorner was a cop with the LAPD who was fired after reporting that his training officer beat up a handcuffed, non-resisting suspect. He appealed and lost. In his manifesto that he posted on Facebook, he vowed to kill those associated with him being fired as well as their families. His first alleged victims were the daughter of the LAPD lawyer who represented him and her fiance. This recent case from 2013 includes several pictures, some of which are quite graphic, including the all-out manhunt for Dorner and his controversial death. Did the LAPD blow the whole scenario way out of proportion? Keeping in mind the fact that the LAPD is one of the most militarized police forces in America, one man's attempts to clear his name should not have sent the whole LAPD into the frenzy that it went into after Dorner's manifesto and statement came to light. Los Angeles has its share of some of the world's most ruthless and well-armed crime rings. These include, The Crips, Bloods, Mexican Mafia, Yakuza, Armenian Mob, Aryan Brotherhood, Skinheads, and Russian mobs as well as the local drug cartels. These gangs are not only real, they are openly hostile towards the LAPD and have killed numerous police officers on numerous occasions. Some of these gangs have even murdered entire families with the LAPD unable to catch them. Yet when an ex-cop, wanting to clear his name, tried to speak out against the LAPD, the police goes all out, 'balls to the wall', and embarked on one of the most organized and widespread manhunts in recent history. Additionally, newer reports regarding Monica Quan have arisen that render an even greater air of speculation to the whole ordeal. Monica Quan and her fianc , both with law enforcement backgrounds, were found in a car that was parked in a parking garage in a million-dollar predominantly white neighborhood. The parking garage was being guarded by a police officer who did not see Dorner, a large black man, break in. The garages are monitored 24/7 and yet there is no footage of Dorner either breaking in, killing anyone, being there or leaving. Nothing. But that's what the LAPD wants people to believe. "The mother and daughter were out delivering newspapers and were shot at... 108 times. They didn't even resemble Dorner, only their vehicle. The LAPD rules of engagement was kill... Overkill. They didn't want Chris talking. There's no evidence he killed Quan and her fiance. This in my opinion was racial discrimination and microaggressions."

Today's Radical Islamist Terrorist could be just a breath away from any of us: a fellow student, an employee or even the soldier in the next bunk. We could be attacked at a park, a mall, or a dance club. Americans today are facing an alarming new terrorist threat: 'Self-Radicalized' Terrorist. Unlike previous 'sleepers' like the 9/11 hijackers who infiltrated the United States from abroad, this new breed of 'Terrorist' come from within. Many are natural born Americans or immigrants to the U.S. who, over time, 'Self-Radicalized' themselves through radical Islamist internet propaganda and undertook terrorist action on their own initiative with little or no guidance from overseas terrorist groups. Unpredictable and often disguised in their previous identity as loyal American university students, government employees, or even members of the US military, this new 'franchise style' of terrorist is difficult to detect. RJ Parker, Ph.D., documents in a single volume some of the prominent and frightening recent cases of self-radicalized terrorist strikes in the United States. Istoricheskaja povest "Neobychajnye prikljuchenija Kukshi iz Domovichej" rasskazyvaet o stranstvijakh dvenadtsatiletnego malchika Kukshi. Glavnyj geroj popadaet v plen k varjagam i pokidaet rodnuju derevnju. Kukshu zhdut opasnye plavanija, zhestokie srazhenija, dalnie strany i znakomstva s legendarnymi lichnostjami. Muzhestvenno vyderzhat vse ispytanija geroju pomogaet neugasaemoe stremlenie vernutsja domoj, k materi i sjostram.
