A history of Wells.
Jenna Butler draws on her own experiences of her grandmother's disappearance into senile dementia to reassemble a sensual world in longpoem form that positively crackles with imagery and rhythm. Identities and memories flow and flicker as she strings together fragments of narrative into stories that comprise one woman's life. It entwines her disappearing life with that of the persona of the woman's granddaughter through a choreographed confusion of identities: of she's and I's. Few poets could execute this with convincing solemnity, while simultaneously recovering the dignity of the sufferer and her loved ones. Butler does. Poetry lovers, critics and scholars, and readers who crave a deft style charged with honest emotion should read Wells.

for SATB and organ or brass ensemble This rousing Jubilate was written in 2009 for Matthew Owens and the choirs of Wells Cathedral as a companion piece to the composer's Winchester Te Deum; it has the same instrumentation. With its strong melody and rich textures and harmonies, this work will prove immensely popular with all lovers of Rutter's music. An accompaniment for brass ensemble is available on hire.
Short of breath of time, angling space of distance and a sprinkle of salty jealousy, 3 cords; bind broken promises. Aiyeko-ooto in this anthology (50 poems) sample broth, cooked in a hurry and found ingredients of bitter delicacy at the wells at midnight.Just like a baby who cries at night, but needs to learn to take naps in the afternoons, feed heavy and lay down at night, such is the maturity required of sweethearts. We need to learn to hold firm; reins of time, realign distance between us and wrangle jealousy with humor. In 5 movements, Aiyeko-ooto, ends their differences in these words - "If spilling my blood would be watershed of your acceptance, come then and partake of it. For tolerance is written into the constitution of our minds; instead of acceptance, no doubt we have in time created room for intolerance"So if you have not enough hate in you to spill that blood, why don't you redeem it? Forgive each other, claim time lost, end privacy and petty jealous in each other's embrace.
