Five-Layer Intelligence of the Machine Brain

Five-Layer Intelligence of the Machine Brain

Wen-Feng Wang; Xi Chen; Tuozhong Yao

SPRINGER VERLAG, SINGAPORE
2022
sidottu
This book intends to report the new results of the efforts on the study of Layered Intelligence of the Machine Brain (LIMB). The book collects novel research ideas in LIMB and summarizes the current machine intelligence level as “five layer intelligence”- environments sensing, active learning, cognitive computing, intelligent decision making and automatized execution. The book is likely to be of interest to university researchers, R&D engineers and graduate students in computer science and electronics who wish to learn the core principles, methods, algorithms, and applications of LIMB.

Biogeochemical Cycle of Mercury in Reservoir Systems in Wujiang River Basin, Southwest China

Biogeochemical Cycle of Mercury in Reservoir Systems in Wujiang River Basin, Southwest China

This book presents an intensive study on the biogeochemical cycle of mercury in a river-reservoir system in Wujiang River Basin, the upper branch of the Yangtze River. Six reservoirs located in the mainstream of the Wujiang River and their corresponding inflow/outflow rivers were selected for inclusion in this study, which was conducted by researchers from the Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The concentration and distribution of Hg in reservoirs (the water column, sediment, sediment pore water), inflow/outflow rivers of reservoirs, and wet deposition in Wujiang River Basin were systematically investigated, and measurements were taken of the water/air exchange flux of gaseous elemental mercury (GEM). On the basis of the data gathered, a detailed mass balance of total mercury (THg) and methylmercury (MeHg) in the six reservoirs was developed. In addition, the book identifies the primary factors controlling Hg methylation in the river-reservoir system in WujiangRiver Basin. The accumulation and bio-magnification of Hg species within food chains in reservoirs and human health risk of MeHg exposure through fish consumption are also included in this book.

This book investigates detailed hyperspectral image clustering using graph neural network (graph learning) methods, focusing on the overall construction of the model, design of self-supervised methods, image pre-processing, and feature extraction of graph information. Multiple graph neural network-based clustering methods for hyperspectral images are proposed, effectively improving the clustering accuracy of hyperspectral images and taking an important step towards the practical application of hyperspectral images. This book is innovative in content and emphasizes the integration of theory with practice, which can be used as a reference book for graduate students, senior undergraduate students, researchers, and engineering technicians in related majors such as electronic information engineering, computer application technology, automation, instrument science and technology, remote sensing.
