At a young age of 15 Meghan was diagnosed with a rare blood disorder called HLH. Weeks of testing her for so many things led to her being admitted to McMaster Children's Hospital in April of 2005. Meghan was then diagnosed and put into a drug induced coma for several days. This was the beginning of a journey none of us ever thought we would have to share with her. Her courage and love that she constantly displayed during her battle inspired everyone. She, in her own words, taught us: "It's not about how long you live, it's about how you live your life. "
