Transport prices for international and domestic shipments are higher in low- and middle-income countries than in high-income countries, and shipping times are significantly longer and less reliable. This report identifies the frictions responsible for these outcomes and lays out the building blocks of a reform agenda for reducing them.

This book explores the economic and broader societal rationale for introducing drone technologies as a complement to the current transport and logistics systems in the East Africa context. Use cases include medical goods and food aid deliveries; land mapping and risk assessment; agriculture; and transport and energy infrastructure inspection.
