Following the fierce Battle of Paluok, the Enchantresses are struggling with uncertainty about their strengths and abilities for the impending war. Yet to their surprise, each Enchantress is visited by an important person from her past, and they are each provided with a token to show they are not alone in the fight against the evil darkness. Heralded by a Druid messenger, the Enchantresses and their Mihmans are urged to meet with SkyLar to discuss the capture of Asvoria from Wringastol by Reya, and taken to the Dark Crystal Caverns. Although rumors of dissension among the elves in the regions are brooding, the mission to rescue Asvoria is set in place. However, during the commencement of the plan, those who have turned in their minds against the Light come to manifestation. While the armies are entangled with the fight against their own kind, a small group still find their way to the caverns to free Asvoria before her fate is sealed.
