Police corruption, drug manipulation and the revenge for a family member all come to the fore-front as Chief Inspector McDermott and his partner Inspector Fletcher draw closer to the the drug smuggler 'Mister Higgins' in Northern Ireland.

Acting on the information from a suspect captured in Algeria, Detective Genevi ve Benoit and her partner Detective (Captain) Claude Lemieux begin tracking the movement of members of 'Papillion Transport', a mysterious shipping firm transporting drugs throughout the Mediterranean. While investigating Papillion Transport, they learn of a plot to kidnap a French police officer by Italian mafia members. Along the way, they become involved in a gun battle with the Algerian drug smuggler Nazim Aziz in an attempt to free one of his own from the police.

A rise in drug deaths amongst tourists in Marseille leads Detective Genevi ve Benoit and her partner Senior Detective Claude Lemieux to investigate drug trafficking by cruise ship employees and a local drug dealer. With information from Scotland Yard, they soon learn the identity of the person responsible for an operation involving mysterious ship owners and an Algerian crime syndicate.
