There is much pain and loss in Misham's past that wounds her mind greater than any of the scars the demons inflict on her, yet she still has so much to lose, a loved one who also fights against evil, a loved one who broke her heart and saved her life, yet inspires greatness in her also. Can the lovers reunite to forge strength against evil? Will there be too great a loss for heart to continue the good fight? The demonic influence grows stronger among the humans of who many turn to the wrong side but light remains.. Yet will it be enough?

This is a collection of connected stories about black female characters who are put through so much struggle and pain in life, yet keep fighting on, keep living and moving forward to find better days, no matter how hard things get or what is done to them. From being sexually abused, homeless, beaten and nearly killed, abandoned and hated for who they are, losing children and parents, being overcome with addiction and depression, these women and girls suffer through so much but somehow find ways to better their lives, to find that deeper strength in themselves and rise up, show the world who they truly are and achieve great things despite all their pain and struggle. Their stories are an inspiration, truly showing the power of the black woman. These queens are inspiration.
