JT + KK = 2 MATES - Jack Thompson AO & Kevin Kearney is Part Three of a biography / memoir series covering the more than 50 year friendship of the two men which began in 1967 on the television series RIPTIDE (1967 - 1969). Part Three of the series covers the period 1981 - 1984 and traverses the career paths of both men in an industry that they both loved and is entwined with their enduring mateship. The book is written by the partners of both men - briann kearney and Le Thompson and is edited by briann's long time editor and close friend Sue Binney.

"briann - Some Restored Photographs - 1959 - 1970" has been a journey to rescue pieces of the past that are important to me through photographs which have been repaired and preserved - precious pieces of the very early work of some of now leading internationally recognised Australian photographers from the 1960s and 1970s whose work was inadvertently damaged by flooding rain in a Birchgrove, Sydney winter some 40 years ago. The work took over 12 months to do and when it was finished I believed the photographers themselves needed to be recognised and remembered and I thought a little book highlighting their amazing art was the way to go and this was able to be achieved through restoration of part of my archive.

JANET CATHERINE SCOTT - ARTIST (1941 - 2018) Janet Scott was a versatile and prolific artist perhaps most remembered for her painterly output in the course of a career that spanned more than half a century. Yet she successfully turned to sculpture, drawing, pottery, writing, furniture making, and running her own gallery among her many achievements. During her career she wrote fiction, scripts and programming for her various stage productions and worked in the movie industry producing movies about artists as well as working as a preproduction stills photographer and film poster artist. Janet's paintings evince a fascination for a hyper-realistic style, her sculpture has a feeling of mythological symbolism and her wood carving is totally Australian in its essence. The themes of her work at all levels include dreams, sexuality and the subconscious while throughout her life she portrayed her closest personal relationships especially that of her own family. As a female artist, at a time when it was only just being recognised as a career path, Janet forged a livelihood and worked at her craft throughout her whole life.

THE ADVENTURES OF WOONUN WILLOUGHBY (aka "Whispering Oak") is the story of how I met my little friend Woonun when his Narrunga mother, Patrice, whose guardian was Rose Kunoth Monk AM, an Arrande-Alyawarra Amatjere Elder and star of the film JEDDA (1956), and his father Pitjantjantjara music legend Bart Willoughby returned to Sydney, Australia for Bart to compose and direct the music track of the Birripi icon, Brian Syron's award nominated feature film JINDALEE LADY (1992).

This book is Volume 2 Part 2 of the work life of Audio Artist, Sound Designer and Analogue Location Sound Recordist Kevin Kearney who has over 100 Sound Department credits in feature films, telemovies, series, short films, documentaries, and music videos plus over 3,000 credits in commercials. Kevin Kearney enjoyed a very successful and fulfilling media career over a period of 35 years culminating in his production of the feature film JINDALEE LADY the first feature film to be directed by a First Nation Australian, Brian Syron, to have music scored by a First Nation Australian, Bart Willoughby, to have costumes designed by a First Nation Australian Stephen Fitzgerald and to show The Bangarra Dance Theatre in their first professional role. After retiring from freelance work Kevin produced and directed 56 archival DVDs featuring poems by Jack Thompson AM and music by William Barton AM, Nicolas Lyon, a very rare CD of Gulpilil and Bandilil on didjeridu and bambu flute, Ross Hannaford and Stephen Dunstan.

Fragments of Acid and Remnants of Love is a series of love poems written between 1966 and 1980 in Sydney, Deerubin, Singapore, London and Bali

Patrice Ann Power, a member of the stolen generation, tells of being the first Australian First Nation child to be formally fostered by a First Nation woman. Power has also incorporated, not only her own history but that of her people, her children, her extended family and white Australians. The book also includes several traditional indigenous recipes, an Indigenous Australian dictionary and a chapter on Indigenous languages of Australia.

Judith Ann Thomas's diary for 1961 follows part of her short life in Brisbane, Australia as she goes to dances and parties with various Brisbane musicians like Johnny Pickering & the Planets and visiting bands and singers including Peter Allen, the Allen Bros. and Lucky Starr and is invited to Queensland's first O.B. of "Bandstand" from Lennons Broadbeach before she follows her dream as a showgirl at Chequers Nightclub with modelling.
