While draining an old mill pond in the small Eastern NC town of Cattail Creek, the contractor doing the work makes a startling discovery. The remains of a young child are discovered, half buried in the muddy bottom. Connor and Andrea are called upon to organize a team to investigate; to find out if the child was one who was reported missing forty-seven years earlier. To complicate matters, someone in the small town of Cattail Creek doesn't want the investigation to proceed and threatens the PI and his wife if they continue looking into the matter.Who is this person and what is their interest in the case?
