Muitos autores vem publicando livros e artigos prometendo apresentar "causas" da guerra, mas ele entregam, em realidade, somente motivacoes que insuflam os conflitos armados. Causas, que sao psicologicas, tem fundamentos biologicos. Este livro os traz para o leitor.

Este livro e' um manual para aprender a tocar violao, buscando o caminho mais simples possivel. Inicia-se pelo sistema tradicional, em que o candidato a violonista pratica os tres acordes basicos de cada tonalidade mais usual, logo partindo para o acompanhamento de algumas cancoes. Aprender a tocar o instrumento nao e' dificil, mas o leitor precisa ter em mente que o aprendizado depende de um compromisso de pratica diaria, por pelo menos alguns minutos. Cada um tem seu ritmo de progresso, mas ele e' sempre resultado da dedicacao.

O problema do horror da Matematica tornou-se mais pronunciado em tempos recentes. Aqui eu procuro trazer os necessarios remedios didaticos e psicologicos, e decifrar a origem do disturbio, uma vez que o entendimento de um defeito so sera completo quando descobrimos o que o gera. Tentei usar o minimo possivel de notacoes de Algebra Simbolica, ja que a ideia aqui nao e' ensinar Matematica, mas discutir o que faz dela um bicho-papao para muita gente. Busquei tambem escrutinar o ensino e a aprendizagem da Aritmetica nos anos finais do curso elementar e da passagem deste para o proximo nivel, o liceu junior, pois e' neste estagio que a crianca tende a quebrar sua relacao amigavel com o assunto, o que ocorre quando no curriculo nao ha nenhuma enfase em Geometria. O serio prejuizo que as sociedades tem por cultivar essa desvantagem nao e' novo e e' bem conhecido. Ha muitos estudos no caminho da solucao e o que eu apresento aqui e', obviamente, mais um deles, o que nao significa dizer que e' um qualquer, porque aqui as raizes do mal sao desenterradas, o que nos permite finalmente implementar uma eficiente politica profilatica.
