Adam's father was an outlaw wanted for murder, cattle rustling and bank robbery. He was killed by US Marshals a year earlier. Adam's mother died around the same time. He was leaving town, that did not want him because of who his father was, when Hawk caught up with him and asked him to come to their ranch in northern California as Hawk's son.Adam was surprised and smiled. "I will make you proud." Hawk hugged Adam and they left the next day for home. Please read the Long Ride Home to find out more about how Adam became a part of the Hawk family. After a year on the ranch Hawk received a telegram from a US Marshal that he needed the Hawk's help.Adam was 14 now and was tall for his age and did not look like he was 14. He went instead and that started Adam on his adventures.Follow Adam and the Hawk family through this 20-book series as they help fight off cattle rustlers, bank robbers and outlaws that wanted to take over the towns and control the west.Adam remembered the psalm that his Mother read to him. This is what drives him and the Hawk family. There is a verse in Psalm 12 that reads: 'Because the poor are plundered and the needy groan, I will now arise," says the LORD. "I will protect them from those who malign them.'

She did not want to leave the feeling of peace and quiet that came over her.Follow Grace as she walks in the footsteps of Eve only to discover a nightmare of events that would change both their lives forever.Eve was taken from her home as a child.Grace was adopted and never knew her mother. They meet briefly then Eve is gone but there are memories that belong to Eve that now come to Grace. The mystery of Eve's kidnapping from her home, the many people that are involved in solving the mystery and the events that happen have twists and turns. Trust your vision and ask the right questions to keep moving forward."Success is not final; failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts." Winston Churchill"You just can't beat the person who won't give up." Babe Ruth"Successful men and women keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don't quit." Conrad HiltonHow you define success is going to be different than the person sitting next to you. It will be different from your parents, siblings, friends, and co-workers. Take a deep breath and repeat until you believe it: Only you can define what your success means. If you carefully consider what you want to be said of you in the funeral experience, you will find your definition of success. Stephen CoveyYou have high expectations of yourself and want to succeed. That's as it should be. Having a goal and wanting to reach it is what moves us forward. Remember, however, that we are all running on what we believe success is and can be. What we need to understand is that we are all different.

She was lifted off the ground and carried to Chaucer's stall and laid at his feet. Chaucer moved away not understanding what was happening. The light moved away from the girl child and turned into a young woman. She smiled at Chaucer and said, "You have been chosen to take care of the child. Her name is Callie. She is a special child that will grow and become a great woman."Chaucer backed away further and said, "How can I care for this child? As you can see, I am a horse and she is human."The woman smiled. "If you accept the responsibility to raise this child you will be given a gift of being human when there is a need."The other horses were listening, and Megan said, "But she will need nourishment. How can we provide for her?"The woman turned to Megan and said, "You have milk do you not?"Megan backed away from the woman. "Yes, but my milk is not for humans.""Indeed, it is. Your milk can sustain her. She will receive great nourishment from your milk."Megan nodded and said, "Then she shall have it."Chaucer moved towards the child on the ground and put his nose on her head. "She is so little.""Yes," the woman said, "but not for long. Do you accept this task Chaucer?"Chaucer nodded. "Yes."The woman put her hand on Chaucer's head. "Then you are granted the gift of being human when there is a need."She pulled a necklace from her gown and put it around Chaucer's neck. "This will give you the power to become human. As long as you wear it you will be able to be human and return to your natural form at will."Chaucer looked at the child as she began to cry again and wished he were human so that he could help her.

According to historians, the previous high-water mark of 4,131 was set in 1873.Although beer industry observers have known this day was coming, the pace of growth was explosive: At the end of 2011, there were 2,033 breweries, or fewer than half as many as now. In 2005, there were only 1,447. And 25 years ago? The Brewers Association, a trade group for small and independent breweries, logged a mere 284 in 1990.
