Franz Marc. The archive of the Franz Marc Museum in Kochel holds treasures that have never been shown before. They are from the estate of Franz Marc, who along with Wassily Kandinsky was the central artist of the "Blauer Reiter" group. These documents enrich our understanding of Marc's important oeuvre.

Paul Klee. The Bauhaus in Weimar was just celebrating the first anniversary of its foundation when Walter Gropius sent a telegram to Paul Klee in 1920, asking him to join them a master: a cordial invitation to become a teacher at the Bauhaus. This year was of particular importance in the life and work of Paul Klee. His first great retrospective, organized by the Munich-based gallery owner Hans Goltz, opened in May.
