Finding Treasures in the Psalms is a devotional guide that takes you on a daily journey through the Book of Psalms. When I first started writing the devotionals in early January, 2020, life was normal and all was well. However, two short months later, COVID-19 had spread throughout the world causing fear, uncertainty, sickness and death. It was at that time I came to realize that David's words were more than just a collection of poems that contained a few inspirational verses. David lived with fear and doubt. He faced uncertainty and the threat of death. Just like us, David didn't know how things would turn out when he was on the run from Saul, his son, Absalom, or fighting the Philistines. Yet, throughout his life, he trusted and wrote about God's faithfulness; and despite his circumstances, made praising God a priority. What are you facing today? Are you living with fear and doubt about your future? Are you hurting from a broken relationship? Take heart, you can find hope and reassurance of God's love in the Psalms. Start each day by reading about God's faithfulness, love, provision, and forgiveness. Allow His Word to encourage you. But more than that, allow His Word to refresh you, and give you reason to praise your heavenly Father. Charles Hall is a first-time author who lives in Wilmington, NC with his wife, Vivian. He was directed by God to write a daily devotional on the Book of Psalms to leave to his children and grandchildren. He currently serves as the Financial Administrator for two churches in the Wilmington area, and as Treasurer of Imagine Ministry, an international ministry serving in Nicaragua.
