This is the fourth story in the Colleen Broadhurst Adventure Series. Colleen watches as a San Francisco County official is murdered in a dream, and finds out the next morning that her dream has come true. With the help of her husband, San Francisco Police Inspector, Joe Taylor, and his partner, Colleen helps to unravel the mystery of who committed the murders and who hired them to do it along with many other crimes in the process. Colleen also teams up again with her friend, Lisa Thomas, who assisted her in the first book of this series, From the Stones.

Voices in the dark...what are they? They're simply echoes from the past, right? Or are they warnings to the living? A paranormal mystery to solve before it's too late? Matt Unger wasn't sure but he was determined to find out in the first novelette in this book. I guess the other stories in this book could also be classified as "voices in the dark," as they all deal with paranormal subjects; and after all, isn't that what paranormal mysteries really are, v o i c e s i n t h e d a r k ?
