Dispensational Truth is the Rev. Clarence Larkin's famous book on dispensationalism with his beautifully drawn black and white charts. A must-have book for any student of dispensationalism, the book contains more than 115 charts, maps, and drawings. The result of thirty years of study, Dispensational Truth is a gold mine of information on prophetic truth for the busy pastor, evangelist, Bible teacher, and everyone who loves God's Word. In fact, Larkin's charts have been called "the gold standard" of pre-tribulation knowledge. A trained draftsman, Larkin diagrammed what he read during his Bible studies. From his drawings and charts, the study of God's Word has enriched generations of those who seek illumination and clarification regarding history, prophecy, and the future of mankind. This book has sold thousands of copies since it was first published in 1920.
Rev. Clarence Larkin (1850-1924) was an American Baptist pastor, Bible teacher and author whose writings on Dispensationalism had a great impact on conservative Protestant visual culture in the 20th century. His intricate and influential charts provided readers with a visual strategy for mapping God's action in history and for interpreting complex biblical prophecies.Larkin's major publications were six: Dispensational Truth (or God's Plan and Purpose in the Ages); Rightly Dividing the Word; The Book of Daniel; Spirit World; Second Coming of Christ; and A Medicine Chest for Christian Practitioners, a Handbook on Evangelism.Dispensational Truth (or God's Plan and Purpose in the Ages), contains dozens of charts and hundreds of pages of descriptive matter. He spent three years designing and drawing the charts and preparing the text, which remains in print. It is a thoroughgoing defense of premillennialist dispensationalism that draws on the major themes found in the works of figures like C.I. Scofield, William Eugene Blackstone, and John Nelson Darby.Because 'Dispensational Truth' had a large and wide circulation, the first edition was soon exhausted. It was followed by a second edition, and then, realizing that the book was of permanent value, Larkin revised it and expanded it, printing it in its present form of over 300 pages. Larkin followed this with other books: Rightly Dividing the Word; The Book of Daniel; Spirit World; Second Coming of Christ; and A Medicine Chest for Christian Practitioners, a handbook on evangelism.Like C. I. Scofield, he postulated seven separate dispensations--the current being the "Dispensation of Grace," "Church Dispensation," "Ecclesiastical Dispensation," or "Parenthetical Dispensation." This position held that the church age filled a "gap" in the timeline of biblical prophecy. (wikipedia.org)

In this book, Clarence Larkin explains the various elements of the spiritual world of Christianity; including demons; the underworld; resurrection; and man's relationship to the spirits. Unafraid to tackle topics often ignored or relegated to the barest mention by other theologians, in The Spirit World Clarence Larkin delves deeply into the topics such as hell, Satan and demonic manifestations. His accessible style is made further comprehensible by the myriad drawings and charts, which visually portray concepts which first appeared in the Bible. For decades in his role as a preacher and theologian, Larkin immersed himself in the depths of Biblical lore. His studies ranged from explaining obscure or cryptic books of the Bible, to clarifying the manifestations of spirits good and evil, and how these corporeal beings interact with one another and with humans. The machinations behind phenomena such as resurrection, fallen angels and the journey of the soul to the afterlife are topics which Larkin explains.
Clarence Larkin's examination of The Book of Revelation stands as one of the most detailed commentaries ever created, made unique by the large tables and illustrations. As with his other intensive examinations, Clarence Larkin sets out to clarify the many mysterious chapters and verses for the benefit of Christians seeking greater insight and knowledge of the holy text. Using his own system of organization, Larkin dispenses the various messages and meanings behind the Book of Revelation clearly. Throughout this superb work of Bible study, all explanations and assertions are supported by quotations of the scripture. The principle lessons and stories of Revelation each receive scrutiny, while the various Sevens - the Seven Dooms, Seven Personages, Seven Last Plagues, and so on, are explained in enlightening and authoritative detail. The culmination of more than twenty-five years of study, it is no exaggeration to say that Larkin's explanations of The Book of Revelation contain a life's work.

In this inspirational book, preacher and educator Clarence Larkin explains the characteristics of Baptism which motivated him to join his denomination. Larkin offers in this fine work an in-depth guide to baptism, from its origins in the Gospels, to its character, traditions and doctrine in the modern-day. The aim of baptizing, and its symbolism in Christian belief, are also explained with the use of the Biblical Gospels and other sources. Never one to stray from the very core of his subject, Clarence Larkin keenly tells the reader about the origins of the very word 'Baptism'. The ceremonial procedures, from the view of the baptizer and the person to be baptized, are also discussed. Quotes of the Gospel are frequent, with Larkin striking the tone of clarity which was his custom. The assumption that Baptists believe baptizement is essential to salvation is shown to be incorrect, with Larkin careful to cite the Gospels to support this assertion.

This work is the result of 25 years' study of the Book of Revelation. Twice within 6 years the writer gave a 4-months' course of Sunday morning sermons to his people on the Book. These lectures have also been given in Bible Institute Courses, illustrated with large, colored, wall charts. The Book of Revelation is interpreted from the Futurist Standpoint. Chapters two and three cover the present Church Dispensation. From chapter four until the end of the Book all is future. The writer's purpose is to show that the Book of Revelation is to be taken literally, and that it is written in chronological order. The text of the Old Version is used and is printed at the top of each subject. The chapter and verse divisions are ignored. The text is emphasized by the use of capitals and black type. This helps to explain it and make it clear to the general reader. The descriptive matter of the book is emphasized in the same manner.Rev.
