Courtney Flowers

Courtney Flowers is a 23 year old mother of one (Emrie) from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In her first book, Freedom From Abuse, she discusses her experiences with domestic violence. According to Ms. Flowers..."I've been through domestic violence. I grew up in a house full of domestic abuse for years. Watching my Mom and other ladies struggle through abuse and then going through it myself motivated me to help others." "I don't want my daughter to go through what I went through. I realize that she's looking at me for her happiness, safety, and protection. I have someone to live for!" Ms. Flowers decided to stand up, and do her part in giving a voice to those who may never speak their pain as a reminder of the strength and resilience in those who are bruised.
