I've attended parties where people try to break the ice by asking, What's the grossest meat you've ever eaten? This book is not about that topic. For one thing, I'm a meat minimalist or a virtual vegetarian. I think that most people in the US, Europe, and other developed countries eat too much meat. It's not good for us. It's not good for the environment. And it's certainly not good for the animals who get eaten. Did they have a choice in the matter? But I'm not here to shove my point of view down your throat; or anything else for that matter. This book is also not about fancy parties where the host serves spaghetti without utensils. I don't know about you, but I've got better things to waste my money on than replacing my clothes. I know, I know, Spoilsport We're not inviting you to our party if you're going to be like that You might think that some of the foods which are mentioned in this book are gross. You may be correct in that assessment. However, you will never know unless you try them. I'll be polite. You can go first. And you never know, you may find some of these foods to be quite delightful, as do I. I'm not Mikey. I don't hate everything. On the other hand, there are quite a few things that I refuse to even try, believe it or not.Hopefully I've included enough humor in this book that you won't be totally grossed out. And you won't be saying, Gag me with a whole place setting, as one of my sister's liked to say at a younger age. When I told my other sister the title of this book - Tomato Shake and Other Foods You're Hesitant to Try - she replied, More like: and Other Foods You'd Avoid My wife probably said something like, It's no wonder your stomach's always upset. To which I probably replied, My stomach's not always upset. To which my stomach replied, Rumble, rumble.Enough introduction already. Just grab the barf bag and start reading You are curious to find out what these um ... delicacies ... are? Aren't you?

Be Warned They say that some people would walk through Hell for love. Would you? Well maybe you would, you're just crazy enough to do something so foolish as that. But how many horrors would someone be willing to face for love? And why, oh why, would she travel to the home of the Dzhardes? They aren't even lovable But she did And believe it or not, so might you.---Fair warning in advance. This is not a pretty story. Yes, it is a romance. Though, if it's a romance that you're looking for, you might want to read other books of mine in that genre. You can find them at Stubbart.com.As a rule, I don't write horror stories. Life is scary enough without reading about horror. And I for one don't like to scare myself silly. However, this tale came to me begging to be written. And it had just enough romance in it that I didn't reject it outright. So if you want to see just how far somebody would go for love or if you want to raise your adrenalin levels, this book will do the trick. I've tried not to make it too scary. And I've omitted the most frightening parts. After all, I wouldn't want you to have nightmares for the rest of your life.Rating PG(Lite Horror); Reading Level Easy 4th Grade; Longest Word: Instantaneously

Ducker went through life snapping his toes. I suspect you think that that sounds a bit gross and it might be a bit painful. And you're also under that impression that that might be just a little bit too much information. Perhaps it's something which you'd rather not know. But snapping one's toes is very similar to snapping one's fingers, except that it's performed with one's toes. So, it's not really as bad as it might sound at first. Lots of young children go around snapping their fingers. Ducker just preferred to use his toes to perform this particular fun activity. And since Ducker really liked to snap his toes. And since snapping one's toes is very difficult to do while wearing shoes and/or socks, Ducker had a great disdain for wearing either shoes or socks.Rating G; Reading Level Easy 5th Grade; Longest Word: Representatives

Dear Student, Welcome to The School of Godology. Whereas Theology Schools focus on religion, the School of Godology focuses on God.This course - God 101 - is a course on What/Who God Is. This course discusses different aspects of God to give you a general idea of what/who God is. God 101 is a Pass/Fail course. In order to pass, you must consider all of the information presented and present a paper discussing what/who God might be; ending with the conclusion that nobody really knows what/who God is. Any person (angels excluded) concluding that they know what/who God is, will fail. For information on How To Be God, you will need to take God 201 for which God 101 is a pre-requisite. Since Godology is a new area of study, those are all of the courses which The School of Godology has developed so far. In the future we hope to develop God 301 - How To Be More Than God; and God 401 - Restating Our Understanding of God God 401 will, of course, be based on your new perspective of who/what God is, of being God, and of being more than God. Part of God 401 will include teaching God 101, provided that we have enough students for you to teach by then. Also, since this field is so new, these courses won't transfer to any other school, other than possibly for general credit. With that in mind, we want to say Thank you for taking this course. We thank you, and God thanks you - or at least we hope that God does.In the future we hope to expand our course offerings and to persuade other schools to offer similar courses. But for now, we hope that you understand, as we do, that your education is much more important than what you will do with it. Sincerely, The School of Godology.Rating G; Reading Level Easy 5th Grade; Longest Word: Congratulations

Nobody wants toxic chemicals in their home. However, many people have toxic chemicals in their home, yet they are unaware that those dangers are lurking there. We live in a culture where toxic chemicals are just a part of life. Or so it sometimes seems. And they just seem to creep into our homes.Once those toxic chemicals are in our homes, it may seem daunting, almost impossible, to get them out of our homes. We try everything, short of exorcism to rid them from our homes. Sometimes nothing seems to work.Over thirty years of attempts, failures, and successes at ridding our homes of toxic chemicals have led to the creation of this plan. It takes a lot of work. And you will no doubt be overwhelmed by it at first glance. But the plan does work. And the end results are worth both the time and the effort. Removing toxic chemicals from a home, often results in the inhabitants being better able to breathe easier, being sick less often, and having more energy. It takes time. But it can be accomplished step by step. Do as much as you can. And do what works for you. Then move on to the next step. You may need to come back to the first steps and perform the remaining tasks. But eventually, you will work out what works for you. You will work out what rids your home from toxic chemicals to the point, that you can live at peace with your home again. This book is not about chemical elements. I'm going to offer my apologies for that up front, as I know that might be disappointing to a few of you.Rather, this book is about the basic elements which make up the Earth, which make up each of us, which make up everything. These Elements go by various names depending on which Element Theory you reference. I'll explain that later on in this book. Then I'll use a standard naming convention for each of these Elements. This book is about the Elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Spirit, and Sky. It is also about the Elements Love and Life. I explain each of these Elements and how each pertains to a Personality Type. I give as much information as is known about each Element, so that you can better answer if that Element or Personality Type is you.Rating G; Reading Level Easy 6th Grade; Longest Word: Environmentalist

In this part of the Series, The Wizard Without a Wand, we follow the story of a Wand as it searches for its Wizard. For every Wand has a particular Wizard, just as every Wizard has a particular Wand. Indeed, when a Wizard uses a Wand, they become indistinguishable. Just how did this Wand come to be? How did it end up in the Underground City? How does its story interweave with that of Shmedley Thrumbledack who is the Wizard Without a Wand.Rating G; Reading Level Easy 5th Grade; Longest Word: Indistinguishable This Wand's name is Accoustical Light. I don't know if every Wand has a name. But why not, if they're as important as Wizards? Not just any Wand will work for Shmedley Thrumbledack. For he's not just a Wizard, he's a magical being. And only a magical being can make a Wand for a magical being? So, who would have made it? Accoustical Light's story starts 400 years ago with Professor Malkius Wontlemoot, the last Professor of Wandmaking. After Malkius stopped teaching to wander the countryside, Wandmaking was no longer taught in Wizard Schools. This was much to the relief of several students. Instead, Wands were made by guilds. And only apprentices were taught how to make Wands. Accoustical Light and Shmedley Thrumbledack come close to meeting each other, but in the end, it's only through a strange twist of events, that they wind up together. So, what does a student at Wizard School, who has already made it through three years without a Wand do, when he finally gets a Wand? To find that out, you'll need to read the previous book in this series.

An Electric Car is often referred to as an electric vehicle or EV. In Select Your Electric Car, I explore the various options of EVs available in the United States. If you live in California or in one of the other states which have similar zero emission vehicle standards, you will have more choices. These states have laws that car companies selling cars in their state must provide a certain percentage of EVs. I am going to focus on the EVs which are widely available in the US now (2018). I'll compare them, so that hopefully you will be able to purchase the EV which fits your lifestyle - or the lifestyle which you plan to adopt once you own an EV.I'll also look at a few other EVs which are not as widely available. In 2019, car dealers will be offering more models of EVs nationally, at least that's the plan. I'm thinking that you might want a car with more of a track record. So I won't be saying as much about those models, though I will mention them. The US ranks seventh in number of EVs sold, following China, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Netherlands, and Norway who is at #1. If you wanted to wait until 2019 to drive your EV, and you had $200,000 ($200K) to spare, and you had a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or could hire a driver who did; why not just purchase a Tesla Electric Semi. After all, Elon Musk is now saying it will have a 600-mile range. Even if he's only 75% correct, that's still a 450-mile range. I could drive into town (Olympia) every day of the week and up to the big city (Seattle) on the weekend. And I still wouldn't have to charge my rig.And in Aug 2018, a Tesla Semi made it from Coast to Coast across the US. It did have to be recharged. But the driver was able to find charging stations which were powerful enough to charge it.But where would I park the thing? Besides I don't have a CDL. And the few people I know who do aren't interested in being my personal chauffeur. I also definitely don't have $200K that I can afford to spend on my next vehicle.I won't talk about the Tesla Semi in this book. You can read about that vehicle in my book - The Xybrid Vehicle. I'll also mention techniques for driving an EV which will expand their range. At least these techniques work when driving my 2015 Electric Nissan Leaf.Ratiing G; Reading Level Easy 6th Grade (that's ok, even though most 6th graders are too young to drive); Longest word: Oversimplification
