This book presents the concept of healthcare facilities management performance measurement (HCFMPM) using Ghana as a case study. It set forth in-depth theoretical and empirical underpinnings of performance measurement concepts for hospital facilities services, with the view to demonstrate critical performance dimensions to improve FM contributions and added value to healthcare delivery. The research approach adopted is mixed method encompassing qualitative interviews in case study setting and a questionnaire survey of sampled hospitals in Ghana. The book presents a number of useful tables, graphs as well as a pedagogic illustration of statistical analysis which are useful in understanding the concepts under reference. It develops a structural equation model for performance measurement of FM services. The book is of relevance to healthcare managers, facilities management practitioners and academics towards measuring and improving FM performance in hospitals. Although the data used in the analysis is based on the case study country Ghana, the result is by extension useful to several developing countries faced with the challenge to improve FM services delivery in public hospitals as well as other facilities management sectors.

The Destiny of Man is the exploration and the excavation of the New Creation-to fathom the depth of man both in his higher and lower natures. It is theosophical: a consciousness of the eternal truth and codification in the scripture about man and his great lover-the God of creation. The truth is divulged, and certain mysteries that stand as puzzles are revealed-about the mystical nature of man both in the Garden of Eden and the material world. Yes The great mystery of the two different natures of man in Adam and Christ Jesus who answered the second Adam is unveiled so that the eternal life and victorious destiny of man may be achieved if the right choice is made. Whether one lives his life only according to his animal nature or not, going back to spiritual where we come from is a sine qua non.It is indeed a rapturous spiritual blossoming that kept religion and science in unending squabbles. Of course, science and spiritual matters can never agree, since science is the fruit of the intellectual mind of the material nature of man, which has lost the spiritual insight of God and the origin of man. As the scripture says, "For what is exalted among men is an abomination in the sight of God" And another text says, "My thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways" (Luke 16:15 and Isaiah 55:8).

A praying mantis insect faces any danger regardless of it's opponent's size and strength. If you've seen their parade of innate fearlessness, it is easy to see why they have inspired the creation of a Chinese martial art style. This anthology assembles the work of four highly qualified authors who present rare information about praying mantis boxing. In the first chapter, Dr. Martin Eisen interviews Gin-foon Mark, a noted fifth-generation master of Guangxi Province Bamboo Grove Praying Mantis. Mark discusses training in Chinese temples and compares it with the common training methods found today. The goals, training, and results are very different. The classical methods include developing the senses for fighting, and medical applications. Dr. Daniel Amos studied praying mantis boxing in Hong Kong. When a person starts to study a martial art, he or she is actually joining a social group to do so. The social structures of Hong Kong martial arts temple cults provide Chinese shunted aside by the dominant status system with an alternative, albeit secondary, system of status achievement. Here, the author presents details of his study and the social setting. The essence of China's varied martial styles has often been preserved in writings. At the heart of this heritage are "character formulas" a short list of characters that is used to establish the most elemental characteristics of a particular martial style. In the third chapter, Dwight Edwards provides an analysis of "The Twelve Character Formula of Seven Star Praying Mantis Boxing." In the following chapter, Ilya Profatilov shares the results of years of researching the mantis systems in China. Old manuscripts describe the origins, theory, and curriculum of praying mantis boxing. Additionally, oral folk traditions, legends, fantastic stories, and songs are utlized. Referencing such sources, the author details the history of this realistic combat system, showing that it preserves its original techniques and classical forms. In the final chapter Profatilov discusses a favored close-range technique he recounts from his tutalage under Master Lin Tangfang (1920-2009) in a small village in Shandong Province. He uses the past to inspire his practice, as we hope this anthology will stimulate further research and practice to all readers.
