"In 1971 two small-time thieves, Quinn and Murphy, decide to leave an Irish gang to take care of their families, a fatal decision that kills Quinn and Murphy's wife. Twenty years later, in a maze of killing games and mysterious deaths, Murphy and Quinn's sons combine forces to track down the killer who destroyed their pasts."*What you're about to read is a very dark New York City thriller in the form of an original screenplay. It got me my first topnotch literary agent, it was nearly bought by Robert De Niro's TriBeCa Productions, it led to script-doctoring talks with high-powered Hollywood Producer Arnold Kopelson and got me several screenwriting gigs. Alas, as it is with most spec scripts, it was never made. "Not Minding the Hurt" has been on the shelf, collecting dust, for some twenty-five years. I think it's high time for these characters to see the light of day - if not on screen, then in readers' minds. I thank them for those most intense of times I got to spend in their company - and I thank you for doing the same.

This collection of three original screenplays lives and breathes New York City and is decidedly big on guns, hence NYC3 GUN. These spec scripts have been invaluable to me. They got me topnotch literary agents; they were nearly bought several times, they led to script-doctoring talks with high-powered Hollywood producers, garnered semifinals and finals places in screenwriting competitions and served as the perfect calling cards that landed me commissioned gigs.*Specs are 'speculative scripts', screenplays written not on commission. Specs are labors of love, passion projects, screenplays writers craft to make an impression, get through a door, attract an agent, generate interest. Specs, most often, don't sell. They serve their purpose, as they have for me, and then end up on a shelf collecting dust. Traditionally, spec scripts never see the light of day. The three screenplays contained in NYC3 GUN have been on my shelf for twenty-five years. I'm now publishing them, because these characters deserve the opportunity to come alive - if not on screen, then in readers' minds. *NOT MINDING THE HURT: In 1971 two small-time thieves, Quinn and Murphy, decide to leave an Irish gang to take care of their families, a fatal decision that kills Quinn and Murphy's wife. Constantly struggling with his identities, switching back and forth between the shy writer and the hard-hitting action hero, Cracker is thrust into a dangerous chase for a woman and a priceless artifact.*WALLSPACE: An ex FBI private eye is framed for the murder of a US Senator and Matt Wells soon discovers that everything is connected with a new invention that allows the carrier to walk through walls. Everyone from the FBI to the Mafia is on the hunt for Wells and the invention while he tries to clear his name and uncover an epic conspiracy. There is one other copy of the invention - and it is in the hands of the mastermind behind the frame. The chase, literally through New York City, is on.
