It got me my first topnotch literary agent, it was nearly bought by Robert De Niro's TriBeCa Productions, it led to script-doctoring talks with high-powered Hollywood Producer Arnold Kopelson and got me several screenwriting gigs. Alas, as it is with most spec scripts, it was never made. "Not Minding the Hurt" has been on the shelf, collecting dust, for some twenty-five years. I think it's high time for these characters to see the light of day - if not on screen, then in readers' minds. I thank them for those most intense of times I got to spend in their company - and I thank you for doing the same.
