"That was the Time" is a 2019 re-release from Scars Publications of the May 2008 v184 issue of cc&d magazine, which contains poetry and short stories as well artwork, the boss lady's editorial, and a News You Can Use section, now placed into a perfect-bound book by assorted writers and artists. "Children, Churches and Daddies" (AKA cc&d, subtitle "the UN-religious, NON-family oriented literary and art magazine) has been printed in many forms since it's inception in 1993, but since 2014 cc&d has been released every other month (with bonus issues) as a 6"x9" perfect-bound paperback book, with not only it's usual ISSN# (print ISSN# 1068-5154, Internet ISSN# 1555-1555), but also an ISBN#. With ISBN#s for issue/book releases, all issues now carry a title to accompany the new format, reflecting the writing inside the book and the cover design, so, since this original issue did not have a title, one of the accepted writing included in this volume was used for the title on the cover, "That was the Time". As an added bonus to this 2019 re-release of this issue, that paper-back book also contains chapbooks that were released at around the same time as this issue was released, including the Poetry Wheel (supplement #1, 2/26/08), Slinging the Word (supplement #2 3/18/08 that was a reflection of poetry performed on WLUW Chicago radio), and Poems on the Beach (supplement #3 7/13/08 of a poetry feature at Beach Poets, at Loyola Beach in Chicago). Writers and artist with material appearing in this book include Adam Joseph Ortiz, David J. Thompson, G. A. Scheinoha, Holly Cross, Janet Kuypers, Jim Meirose, Joe Frey, Joseph D. Reich, Julia O'Donovan, Ken Fisher, Kenneth DiMaggio, Michael Lee Johnson, Michaela Sefler, Pat Dixon, Shannon Krol, Tanya Rucosky Noakes, Aaron Wilder, Cheryl Townsend, Paul Baker, and Rose E. Grier.

12 strangers from different realities are kidnapped and left stranded on an Earth were magic has supplanted technology and ancient empires have prospered for many centuries in this work of dark fantasy. Among some are a deadly assassin from the Canadian Armed Forces, a brilliant Irish trauma surgeon, a "nuclear winter" survivor, and a medical marvel whose augmented strength does little to compensate for his irreversible brain damage.Receiving the aid of an ancient wizard of the Ethermen, the group of 12 finds themselves battling fierce creatures and witnessing marvels beyond their imaginations. But their journey becomes more perilous when a necromancer plans to use them in his overthrow of Earth...by plunging their new home into eternal night.Their survival depends on trust...but will their past lives keep them from the one chance they have to find their way home?

Worldwide, Population Ecology is the leading textbook on this titled subject. Written primarily for students, it describes the present state of population ecology in terms that can be readily understood by undergraduates with little or no background in the subject. Carefully chosen experimental examples illustrate each topic, and studies of plants and animals are combined to show how fundamental principles can be derived that apply to both species. Use of complex mathematics ia avoided throughout the book, and what math is necessary is dealt with by examination of real experimental data rather than dull theory. The latest edition of this leading textbook. Adopted as an Open University set text.
