Discover the work of Susan Rothenberg in this captivating new publication, which brings together paintings from throughout the acclaimed American artist’s career. Over five decades, Susan Rothenberg developed a charged visual language that carries immense physical presence, emotional intensity, and psychological nuance, redefining the medium of painting while capturing her unique vision of the world. This new publication offers a holistic representation of Rothenberg’s work, tracing her career from the monumental horse paintings that brought her to prominence in the 1970s, to the fragmented limbs and figures in motion that defined her production in the 1980s, through to the natural drama of New Mexico’s desert landscape which infused her work throughout the 1990s and into the 2000s. Introduced by Alexis Lowry, brilliant reproductions and striking details of Rothenberg’s paintings are paired with thought-provoking responses by writers, artists, and thinkers including curator Shanay Jhaveri, artist Joan Jonas, and critic Lynne Tillman, while a meticulously researched biography provides insight into Rothenberg’s remarkable life. Susan Rothenberg: The Weather is published on the occasion of an exhibition at Hauser & Wirth in New York in September 2025.

For decades, the world has turned away from the suffering of the Palestinian people. From 2023 through to 2025, that silence became complicity. The Shadow Over Palestine reveals how Australia - a nation that helped found the United Nations and once prided itself on fairness and justice - became an echo chamber for power, lobbyists and media spin while Gaza was reduced to rubble. Eddy Jokovich and David Lewis - journalists, political analysts and hosts of the acclaimed New Politics podcast - trace how Australian leaders, from Parliament to the press gallery, justified the indefensible. With clarity and courage, they expose the double standards that define Western responses to the war: the bans on language, the silencing of dissenting journalists, the performative outrage of politicians, and the quiet obedience to Washington and Tel Aviv. Combining original reporting, historical context and moral insight, The Shadow Over Palestine documents a turning point in Australian political culture - a reckoning with truth, conscience, and the limits of alliance. This is not only a story about Palestine: it's a story about who we have become, and whether our democracy still has the courage to speak for the powerless.

James Bond meets Maisie Dobbs in this riveting new historical caper series featuring a gifted young socialist-turned-counterespionage spy on a World War II mission orchestrated by Winston Churchill himself... 1940: Weeks after the evacuation of Dunkirk, Germany is poised to invade a near-defenseless Britain. To safeguard the Crown Jewels from the Nazis, Winston Churchill devises a daring gamble to have them shipped overseas. The priceless artifacts will be secretly removed from the Tower of London and driven north to Scotland by two operatives posing as a young married couple, to be taken from there to Canada. Caitrin Colline--a Welsh coalminer's daughter and an ardent socialist--will play the wife of Lord Marlton, Hector Neville-Percy. A less likely couple is at first difficult to imagine. Yet Caitrin's bold, streetwise confidence and sharp wits complement Hector's social ease and connections, essential to a second part of their mission: uncovering Nazi sympathizers within the highest ranks of Britain's aristocracy. Battling enemies within and without, Caitrin wonders if anyone in their circle can be trusted--even her partner. And when unexpected events catapult her into a life-or-death chase across the continent, the morale of a nation and the fate of Europe itself in the balance.

In September 2022, at a grandiose ceremony in the Kremlin, President Putin announced the incorporation into the Russian Federation of four provinces in southern and eastern Ukraine--the most significant attempted land seizure in Europe since World War II. Although Russia was not in control of large parts of these provinces, its military occupied more than 40,000 square miles of Ukrainian territory. Occupation explains how Russia sought to subjugate these territories through a toxic mix of violence, political influence and economic coercion. Its security forces kidnapped, tortured and killed civilians and officials, seized businesses and properties from Ukrainian owners, erased physical evidence of Ukrainian culture, and subjected the population to a barrage of constant propaganda. More than half of the pre-war population fled, to Europe, Russia or the rest of Ukraine, and most who remained were hostile to the occupiers. Yet Russia found local politicians to front its regime. A few people openly collaborated; most faced uncomfortable choices to survive under Russian rule. In occupied Ukraine, Moscow attempted to create an ersatz 'new Russia', based on fantasy, ideology and violence. This regime was a microcosm of the contemporary Russian Federation, reflecting its deepening militarisation and authoritarianism.

Konventsioon. Filosoofiline uurimus
Ameerika filosoof David Kellogg Lewis (1941-2001) on ehk viimase poolsajandi olulisemaid mõtlejaid ingliskeelses analüütilises filosoofias. Raamatule on järelsõna kirjutanud toimetaja Henrik Sova.
