The Armageddon Stones are like an intricately devised jigsaw puzzle or rather collections of such puzzles, in which after the main component pieces have been put together to make a whole picture, there still remain elements unaccounted for which baffle the most ingenious attempts to fit them into a coherent whole. Armageddon conjures mystical images of prophecy, war, and fear. Almost everyone has heard ofArmageddon as it is one of the most recognizable place names in all of history, but it is not a city. There is no metropolis there.Legends describe an unusual, destructive band of comet debris that periodically pummels our planet. The periodic fall of cosmic debris must have been an event so overwhelming in extent, so disastrous in its effect on human civilization. It became preserved in the imagery of myth known as the Apocalypse. The ancient story is hammered into cave walls, painstakingly laid out on papyrus, built into stone temples, and even immortalized in stellar mythology. Stories of massive consuming stones of fire and ice are inexorably intertwined with stories of world-ending wars, ancient prophecies of Apocalypse pointing to the final chapter of modern prophecies made by many.Armageddon Stones. With over forty-years of mythological and scientific research, I have come to the disquieting conclusion that ancient and modern prophecies point like the hands of a giant clock. This conclusion, rooted in physical evidence of past catastrophes, with scientific realities, cosmic theories, and ancient prophecies, shows it is decisive and worldwide in its distribution that the possibility of cometary or asteroid impact cannot be ignored. The Apocalypse stands waiting to be solved as the prophecy truly is; the periodic return of the celestial-serpent-dragon-comet-Armageddon Stones. The Armageddon Stones hint that two stellar locations, Leo and Orion, are the entry points for the Armageddon Stones army to bring a recurring world-destroying rain of ice, fire, and stone. It is not a matter if the Armageddon Stones will strike; it is a matter of when.

The late historian Marvin O’Connell left a legacy of brilliant prose and pictures of the past, and in this book the reader at long last has access to O’Connell’s own story. Fr. Bill Miscamble, a noted historian and scholar in his own right, attributes to O’Connell the title ‘Master’ above all on account of his ability to know what matters and then write about it “in the way that all great stories are told.” In addition to his status as histor (giver of history), O’Connell was a long-time professor and chair of the history department at the University of Notre Dame. He is author of the masterwork, Sorin, which presents the riveting and dynamic narrative of the founding of Notre Dame on the inspired ambition of Edward Sorin, C.S.C. O’Connell was not a man who “genuflected in hagiography.” Rather, in the manner he lived faithfully yet soberly under the shining shadow of the Golden Dome, O’Connell told stories in the manner they were lived and with all the accompanying faults and triumphs. In Miscamble’s thorough introduction of O’Connell, he writes that the latter “utilized his striking talents as a historian as an integral part of his fundamental vocation as a priest. [O’Connell] once described the historian as a veritable ‘midwife to our faith,’ who must capture, as best as evidence will allow, the truth of the past.” This position lends itself to the structure of this work. The first part is the sadly incomplete memoirs of Fr. O’Connell, wherein the reader meets the historian and moves with eagerness and confidence into the essays that follow. Highlights of these collected essays include thoughts on Cardinal Newman, Belloc, the Spanish Inquisition, and the historical perspective of evangelization in the United States and modernism at large. What one reads are stories that might have been lost but are here preserved in what can with all moral certainty be called truthfulness. As his friend Ralph McInerny once qualified him, O’Connell combined compassion and judgment such that his histories were always indeed primarily stories and, as the reader well knows, stories have layers and threads and are not told simply for their conclusions. O’Connell succeeds in showing one how human history is written. Above all, he reveals that history is made by humans, but must also be remembered and deciphered by humans who cannot forego leaving their own marks and prints on everything they encounter (in memory or otherwise). The objectivity we seek can be found in one historical account alone, asserts the priest-storyteller, yet a sharp eye to the past is always consonant with a compassionate desire to understand. Bill Schmitt, Fr. Bill Miscamble and David Solomon do posterity a service by giving us this man and his masterful engagement of history. These friends of O’Connell deem the historian’s passion for truth-in-context to be foundational for shaping stories that matter, including his own. "This artful combination of memoir and selected essays reawakens our memory of Father O'Connell in all his immense personal charm, intellectual energy, rich erudition, keen wit, and steadfast dedication to his interlocking callings as priest and historian." —J. Philip Gleason, Emeritus Professor, History Department, University of Notre Dame"The work of a master historian, these memoirs and essays are reliable in recounting what happened, insightful in judging how and why, and eloquent in presenting it all with a flair and wit rarely equaled in historical writing. Moreover, they come forth from a Catholic faith so deep and secure that it need not be imposed on the reader. Rather, they do what good historical writing does, placing the reader into a past that can be seen and felt, recognized and understood. Whether it be his colorful accounts of the tumultuous life and times of Thomas More, or the valiant struggles of Newman and the Oxford Movement, or his own seminary training and teaching in St. Paul, or his fortunes as a graduate student at Notre Dame under the tutelage of the eminent Monsignor Phillip Hughes—whatever the topic, reading O’Connell’s history gives one the gift of being able to say, I remember that happening and I wasn’t even there!"—Michael J. Baxter, Director of Catholic Studies, Regis University in Denver"O'Connell was a master story teller. He was not, however, just a story teller. He was painstakingly rigorous in what and how he taught. His stories always perfectly illustrated a point, but they were never a substitution for the truth--rather an illustration of it." —Bradley Birzer, Russell Amos Kirk Chair in American Studies, Hillsdale College

DAVID SOLOMON passed away, April 18, 2016, leaving behind three books, including A Zen Journey Through The Christian Afterlife, published ten days before he died. It is an award-winning book that continues to break norms for a first-time self-published, deceased author. This second volume of three is the incredible journey of a writer's race against time with his wife, Delynn, assisting him along the way. Raw, intimate details he chronicles numerically while writing, working, and battling Glioblastoma terminal brain cancer. His goal is to reach the Chronicle 1101st, the day his daughter graduates.TRAINING WIRES OF THE SOUL, Just as a Bonsai is gently shaped by metal wires, the experiences, lessons, and guidance in our lives shape our soul. Journey with David as he recounts childhood adventures, family trials, and training with bonsai masters, tai chi, spiritual, and business mentors worldwide. He had a sincere belief the knowledge he shares will help others learn more about themselves the teachers in their lives, give hope to those who have a terminal illness, their families, and "not to fear death" or the afterlife."Quotes from inside this book: I never expected an early expiration date to be stamped on my life. Cancer, especially a terminal diagnosis, is like a near-death experience...profoundly affected my soul. When you are told you have a terminal illness, past events come under close scrutiny...how has your bonsai been pruned and styled? I wondered about the mask I wore during radiation therapy as a metaphor in my life. Zen Masters call our spiritual journey to find our True Self "The face we had before we were born."...The Greeks had it right when they used the word Hypocrite, meaning "actor."...we are often hypocrites playing a role, wearing a mask, rather than being "real." Our appointed time, while often a static point in the future...can be a moving target or a "window of opportunity," depending on whether or not we are "finished" with this life. It's the application of our free will that determines our final moments on Earth University. I need to find a way to survive until the 1101st day... To break the "death window" barrier, I needed at least a short term life extension from God. Absolute healing would be ideal, but a little more time to reach my goal would do. Job explains, "Surely I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know." I had to take a moment to breathe.

He's been here before with "Trichotomy: this is me" when he introduced himself to the world. Now that the introductions are over and the honeymoon stage has begun. Are you excited? David Solomon is, and it shows in this new collection of poetry "Things My Heart Says", each poem is a journey through the heart and relationships. Over the last two years David Solomon has had the opportunity to reflect on his life, more specifically his love life. While observing his friends and family as they take steps into marriage and committed relationships, David Solomon was trying to understand the word love and its relevance and existence. For a while he lost faith in the definition of the word love and could not understand how so many people say they love someone, but still act as if they don't. It's true what they say, actions do speak louder than words, at least to David Solomon they do. So calling it quits on love, he decided to dive deeper into why he used the word and what love meant to him. Wondering if there was a difference between love for family and love for a companion or even love for his friends, well David Solomon's heart had a lot to say about love, so here's what it said.
