The book throws light on the basics of scheduling theory and its one particular area of Flow Shop Scheduling Models under various parameters. The concept of Job Block or grouping of two jobs along with separated set up times of machines has been well thought of. The objective of the scheduling models here considered is to obtain a schedule that minimizes the total of the times spent in waiting by the jobs.

Queues play vital role in our day to day life. Waiting in queues at Administrative set up, Airports, Hospitals, Banks, Universities, Internet connectivity, Phone calls affects our physical, mental as well as economic growth. Balking, Reneging & Feedback are the customer's behavior in Queuing System. Balking means that sometimes, people do not even join the queue due to large number of customers already waiting in the queue. Reneging implies that customer leaves the queue after waiting for sometime in the queue due to long queue or some urgent message. Feedback allows that the person can visit and join any of the previously served channel again, if required. Considering all these customer's behaviors and generalising the solutions for a combination of serial and non-serial queues, each with multiple parallel servers, the effort is done to calculate the mean queue length, so that waiting time can be reduced. The model discussed in this book is of great practical importance for the basic agricultural industry as well as most recent Information Technology sector.

Kolejki odgrywają istotną rolę w naszym codziennym życiu. Czekanie w kolejkach w plac wkach administracyjnych, na lotniskach, w szpitalach, bankach, na uniwersytetach, na polączenia internetowe, rozmowy telefoniczne wplywają na nasz rozw j fizyczny, umyslowy i ekonomiczny. Balking, Reneging & Feedback to zachowanie klienta w systemie kolejkowym.

Scheduling of jobs on machines can be observed in many real life problems. The book covers up the basic concepts of OR and Scheduling theory. The book focuses on the Flow Shop Scheduling Models in two stage where the objective is to minimize the Idle Time of Jobs. The job block concept in these models have been well thought of. The models considered here are specially structured in the sense that the processing times of both the machines are not on the whole arbitrary but have a definite relationship with one another.

Osteomyelitis of the jaws is a challenging disease for clinicians and patients despite many advances in the diagnosis and treatment of the disease. Any adverse changes arising from any immunosuppressive systemic diseases will readily manifest itself in the oral cavity. Osteomyelitis is not an exception to this observation. Thus a careful evaluation of an apparently healthy individual presenting with a jaw swelling that may be associated with odontogenic infection must always be emphasized.Comprehensive Maxillofacial Osteomyelitis provides detailed information about osteomyelitis of the jaws.Key features: - Chapters serve to familiarize the reader with the disease, its etiopathogenesis and clinicopathological features- The classification, imaging modalities and disease management are discussed in detail- A detailed year wise bibliography of the literature of almost all the articles and books published on osteomyelitis of the jaws is presented.- An explanation of how osteomyelitis was diagnosed at earlier times and how it is managed these days is given- Critical analysis as well as recommendations regarding new terms is incorporated.- A section focusing on several images of osteomyelitis of the jaws is presented to enhance the reader's understandingComprehensive Maxillofacial Osteomyelitis is the essential reference for medical and dental students on this disease.
