Sailing obsessions engage the world and broaden an individual's understanding of themselves. Bruce W. Walker, boat fanatic, passionate sailor, writing enthusiast, editor, and Life Member of the Coastal Cruising Club of Australia Inc, offers this compilation of his articles and drawings to humourously take readers on his exciting family sailing adventures, observing, exploring and learning along the way. In A Passion for Sailing, Bruce W Walker has brought together all of his own stories and articles, drawings and a collection of photographs that will have you longing to build your own vessel, as he did, - or to set sail yourself.
On a warm night in September 1985, teenagers Kimberly Dowell and Ethan Dixon were brutally murdered in Westside Park in Muncie, Indiana. Their killer has never been charged. Early on, police focused on a family member of one of the teens as a primary suspect. The investigation even ruled out fantastic scenarios, including a theory that the perpetrator was a Dungeons & Dragons devotee. The case grew cold. Only decades later did a dogged police investigator narrow the scope to a suspect whose name has never been publicly revealed until now. Keith Roysdon and Douglas Walker, authors of Wicked Muncie and Muncie Murder & Mayhem, have followed the investigation into the Westside Park murders for decades and, for the first time, report the complete and untold story.
Muncie epitomizes the small-town America of squeaky-clean 1950s sitcoms, but its wholesome veneer conceals a violent past. Public scandals and personal tragedy dogged the long, notorious life of Dr. Jules LaDuron. Baseball ace Obie McCracken met a tragic and violent end after joining the police force. A mother's love could not stop James Hedges from committing murder. The paranoid delusions of Leonard Redden hounded him until one day he carried a shotgun into a quiet classroom. Detectives Melvin Miller and Ambrose Settles chased a murderer across county lines in pursuit of justice. And newsman George Dale's showdown with the Klan prepared him for the political fight of his life. Douglas Walker and Keith Roysdon, authors of Wicked Muncie, introduce a new cast of characters from the city's notorious past.

Toward the end of the millennium, the World Rock Paper Scissors Society had fallen on hard times. Long gone were the heady days when an RPS champion would be honoured by a tickertape parade. By the time brothers Graham and Douglas Walker joined in the late 90s, the society had been reduced to little more than a loose collection of drinking companions with a common interest. It was then that Graham and Doug decided to take the helm and re-chart the course of the World RPS Society by bringing its teachings to the masses via the Web. Relying on their background in advertising, they established a website (www.worldrps.com) and began a campaign to increase membership and return the World RPS to its former glory. In 2002, they achieved their greatest coup yet: rebuilding the International World Championships of Rock Paper Scissors. Now they have written THE OFFICIAL ROCK PAPER SCISSORS STRATEGY GUIDE, covering the complete RPS scene from the playground to the pro level, including RPS culture around the world, the history of the World RPS, basic rules and game fundamentals, the personality behind each throw, secrets of the RPS masters, and how to set up your own local club and tournament.
