I just had to know what was going to happen next I love that it is clean with no foul language or sexual content, but it is kinda creepy and becomes violent at times, so I'd save this for older children and adults as it'd probably be too scary for little ones. E.R. Fowles paints a vivid picture from start to finish, so it was almost like the movie was playing out in my mind as I read. I am also not that big into reading but I got bored at work one day and started reading the rough draft after following her blog. It is a book I recommend reading since the rough draft was so good I had to order a hard copy I am excited for this to come - NateI loved this book I feel like I can predict most books and know exactly what's coming - not this one It had so many twists and turns, and always had me guessing what was coming next. There were some real mysteries that carried throughout the story and left me guessing until the end. A unique story, with characters you come to love. Four Samuel was a real adventure, and I'm hoping for a book 2 - Cydney CavenderWhile reading this book I felt transported in time and place, I felt like I was part of the adventure The characters come to life and engulf you in their plight My teenage daughter read it and loved it as well, it is a great book for any age - B. There are always battles to be fought, internal and external. This is what young Samuel Calo learns the hard way, when he is ripped from everything he knows. He finds himself caught up in a battle in the which all rests on his shoulders. He will either be the means by which all are freed or the pawn through which everyone becomes subject to the wills of those who would use them for their own heinous purposes. Samuel struggles to save the friends he makes along the way, as well as, the family he left behind; all while he is being pursued by various parties, who each have their own agenda for him. He must also learn how to survive in the jungle, with the help of his beautiful new companion, who constantly seems to drag him into trouble of her own making.
