All throughout his life Joel has suffered from terrible panic attacks. He could be living his life without a care in the world one minute, but then gasping for air the next. It's a problem that's tormented him for as long as he could remember, and a problem that's causing him to slip closer toward a breaking point. He works for the Lestor Corporation year after year slaving away at a desk filling out paperwork. His boss asks him to perform a speech in front of his co-workers and the girl of his dreams, Lilly Croftcheck. The fear of his panic attacks coming to life while he's up there on that stage scares him. He believes that he'll embarrass himself in front of everybody as he's always done so in the past. This fear combined with the sadness he feels for not being able to be with the girl of his dreams pushes him over the edge. He doesn't want to stand up there with his panic attacks exposing him to the world, and if that happens he'll push a button located on his torso killing everyone in the room with a blinding flash of light.

Annabelle Lockhart lives within the small town of Sandyrock with her family. They reside in a farmhouse with a large grassy field nearby that holds a terrible secret. Every now and then an earthquake will shake the lands signaling the coming of a calamity. Annabelle, who isn't allowed to leave the farmhouse, must remain there to ensure the calamity cannot escape. She's been blessed with the words of her ancestors, the words created to keep the calamity where it currently resides, under the ground. Marked with the brightest color of red hair ever seen around Sandyrock, Annabelle must run to the large grassy field whenever she feels an earthquake. Once there, she performs the words of her ancestors, also known as The Pray. These words hold power over the calamity and are like chains keeping it locked away in its prison, or keeping the harmony so the world can go on living. Annabelle Lockhart's gift is to keep the world safe from the calamity, but if she happens to fail at The Pray a monster known as the Annihilator of Worlds will destroy all of humanity.

Ralph is tormented by his past with dreams that cause pain and sadness. He spends his days in Leaford City drinking his life away on the streets. A night that he will never forget happened to him fifty years ago, a night of horror, and loss. When he was a child, Ralph feared sleeping by himself within his bedroom. Something was in there with him, and the screams that he let out saved him when his parents came rushing into his room. They would let him sleep in their bed but that wouldn't stop the monster from coming. It would come out of the closet, and it would come for Ralph and his family. That was then, and now as a much older Ralph thinks about his past, thinks about the horror that went on that night, he knows what he has to do. He has to travel back to his childhood home and confront the monster that had tormented him.

"I will find you..." Ross lives alone in a massive home purchased with the money he had made through his writing. He is a very successful author with multiple books published worldwide; one of the greatest writers of all time some would argue. One night within his home he embarks on a quest to find something that has hidden itself away. The thing that he knows is inside his house will not come out to face him, instead, it stays safely inside of his walls where Ross cannot reach it. A crack located on the wall in the storage room reveals to Ross where the thing is hiding; it's a clue that shows the location of a horror just waiting to be found. "You're in there... I just know you are." The rage boiling inside of Ross has brought out an insanity that can only be quenched after finding the thing. The determination of breaking into that wall is only delayed by his mother; a woman who lives with him... a woman who was checked into Shining Star Manor... "Mother... are you really here?" What is waiting for Ross behind the crack in the wall? When he finds out, it will drive him truly insane...
