Warum ich aquarelliere! Daß ich mich nach ca. 20jähriger Arbeit in Ölmalerei (für 4 Galerien) über Tempera und Gouache (Acryl gab es ja damals noch nicht) für die Aquarellmalerei entschied, hat folgenden Grund: Ich wollte mir das Übermalenkönnen nicht mehr gestatten. Deshalb vergleiche ich Gedanken mit dem Tun. Denken darf man alles: Gutes, Mutiges, Nettes, auch Böses. Man kann es jederzeit ändern und auch gedanklich zurücknehmen, es merkt keiner. Gesagtes dagegen muß stimmen. Das Wort, das heraus ist (laut oder auch leise) ist vorhanden und trifft positiv oder negativ. Diese konkrete, schnelle, nicht mehr zurücknehmbare Aussage ist es,was ich am Aquarell liebe.
