Die R uber Das dramatische Schauspiel basiert auf Schubarts Erz hlung "Zur Geschichte des menschlichen Herzens" und gliedert sich in f nf Akte, die jeweils bis zu f nf Szenen unterteilt sind. Die emotionale Sprache ist das Mittel, mit dem Schiller die f r die Epoche typische Aufbruchsstimmung des Sturm und Drang dramatisiert. Seine zwischen Pathos und Vulgarit t schwankende Prosa mit ihren zahlreichen Stilfiguren erzeugt die Intensit t des St ckes. Es ist das erste ver ffentlichte Drama von Friedrich Schiller. Es wurde 1781 zun chst anonym ver ffentlicht, dann am 13. Januar 1782 in Mannheim uraufgef hrt, wo es f r nationales Aufsehen sorgte und Schiller schlagartig ber hmt machte. Das Drama beschreibt die Rivalit t zweier gr flicher Br der. Auf der einen Seite der von seinem Vater geliebte, intelligente, freiheitsliebende sp tere R uber Karl Moor, auf der anderen Seite sein kalt berechnender, unter Liebesentzug leidender Bruder Franz, der auf Karl eifers chtig ist und das Erbe seines Vaters an sich rei en will. Zentrales Motiv ist der Konflikt zwischen Verstand und Gef hl, zentrales Thema das Verh ltnis von Gesetz und Freiheit. Anregung fand Schiller in der Erz hlung Zur Geschichte des menschlichen Herzens von Christian Friedrich Daniel Schubart. 1] Als Vorlage diente Schiller unter anderem das Schicksal des bekannten R uberhauptmanns Nikol List. Bis in das erste Viertel des 19. Jahrhunderts waren R uberbanden in Deutschland nichts Ungew hnliches.
