D. Grant, moderately well known author, decides to ask a nearby neighbor to help with a problem that she is experiencing. And at the moment, her life changes, although it takes her a while to truly understand exactly what that means.

Things Keep Happening.John Tinker had retired from the adventuring business. He didn't want to wander through the universe of universes. He didn't want to fight demons and monsters. All he wanted to do was to live a nice quiet life on his property not far from the small town of Grandeville in the somewhat isolated space of northeastern Oregon. He wanted to write his books, and relax.A phone call changed all that.This is the tale of what happened.

J.C., one of Tinker's closest friends, has nor returned from the universe of universes. He was last seen, out there, in the company of Mirf of Monetary Control. So, once again, Tinker and group venture out there to rescue him and then Mirf. And, as things always seem to happen, nothing is ever as simple as it is hoped to be. The complications spill over J.C. as well, much to his surprise.

A look at the history of the War On Poverty from Kennedy to Reagan. Much of the work is in the "voices" of the individuals involved in the development of programs for the poor through a number of Presidential terms. Thus, the history is not just dates and events.

"It has to be done."And so, John Tinker and his companions were, once again, sent out into the universe of universes to do, what at first glance, appeared to be a true mission impossible. Or was it?

Seemna and Chyndra, one a daughter of the Faan witch clan, the other the daughter of the Royal House of The New Kingdom, The Realm of The Dragon, are traveling together on a special journey. This journey is to bring to an understanding of themselves, their special skills, and the folk of the various place they might choose to visit. This type of journey is a mandatory thing that they must do. The parents of both of them have stated that a witch-warrior pair traveling here and there should be safe and as such their parents felt there was nothing to be worried about. But, as things often happen, their basic assumption was somewhat flawed

John Tinker, the only polyorganism in all the universe of universes, is waken from a nap on one of the living room's couches by an unusual visitor who asks him for help. And once again, as it always seems to happen, Tinker and the rest of himself are pulled out into the universe of universes to meet new folk and some they would rather not meet again. But that is the nature of life, for who can tell what the future may bring. Usually a surprise, or two.

John Tinker stares at the mirror and ponders, not for the first time, how his life has managed to get as complicated as it has. Somehow, it always seem to happen, little unplanned events lead to great changes.
