SOON TO BE A MAJOR MOTION PICTURE STARRING GERARD BUTLER AND GARY OLDMAN A submarine captain races to prevent World War III in this thrilling adventure. Below the polar ice cap, an American nuclear submarine moves quietly in the freezing water, tailing a new Russian sub. But the usual, unspoken game of hide-and-seek between opposing captains is ended when the Americans hear sounds of disaster and flooding, and the Russian sub sinks in a thousand feet of water. The American sub rushes to help, only to join its former quarry in the deep. The situation ignites tensions around the world. As both Washington and Moscow prepare for what may be the beginnings of World War III, the USS Toledo--led by young, untested Captain Joe Glass--heads to the location to give aid. He soon discovers that the incident was no accident. And the men behind it have yet to make their final move. A move only Glass can stop. Previously Published As Firing Point
George Wallace - winner of the First International Poetry Festival ÓRPHEUS - PLOVDIV 2018 with his poem 'Orpheus on the Elbrus' -- is one of the best contemporary world's poets I have ever read. His poetry is like a message from God, but it isn't enough to say that because while plenty of poets think that they write under God's dictation, to hear the message, to catch the message, is different. In its energy, a sliver of the Beats (A hundred years among the daisies). In its reflectiveness, a particle of the Postmodernists (Letters from Vincent). But the essence of this strong masculine poetry is the Message -- the message to the people, the message to the future, like a man who dies twice does not die / at all, he is Lazarus, he comes back to life, reborn. This is a poetry written in the language of the Prophets. This is a poetry with contempt for the oods of the world -- the seas and rivers, time and memory, history and the future -- in their present tense. The real message of this poetry is its attempt to unite a divided world.--Anton Baev, poet, writer, Chairman, Plovdiv Writers' Union

The 18th century was a wealth of knowledge, exploration and rapidly growing technology and expanding record-keeping made possible by advances in the printing press. In its determination to preserve the century of revolution, Gale initiated a revolution of its own: digitization of epic proportions to preserve these invaluable works in the largest archive of its kind. Now for the first time these high-quality digital copies of original 18th century manuscripts are available in print, making them highly accessible to libraries, undergraduate students, and independent scholars. This collection reveals the history of English common law and Empire law in a vastly changing world of British expansion. Dominating the legal field is the Commentaries of the Law of England by Sir William Blackstone, which first appeared in 1765. Reference works such as almanacs and catalogues continue to educate us by revealing the day-to-day workings of society.++++The below data was compiled from various identification fields in the bibliographic record of this title. In a bilingual collection (Greek-English) dedicated to the contemporary struggles of the Greek people, George Wallace rivets readers with his thoroughly original, modern day beat flow, elevating bakeries to the temples of gods and love to a powerful river. "Like no other poet you've read before...Wallace doesn't want to simply remake the conventions of the contemporary free verse poems as we understand them; he seems to want to remake the reader herself, to alter her aesthetically and psychologically," says Terri Brown-Davidson, Pedestal Magazine. With stunning translations to Greek by Lina Sipitanou, this book is like no other you've read before.

Poppin' Johnny: New American Poems by George Wallace is a stunning collection by a poet whose work recalls the conversational diction of the Beatniks, but with an absolutely contemporary flavor. Known worldwide due to his broad-based internet following (for years, Wallace posted his poems online daily), Wallace has selected more than 70 poems for this collection, presenting a panorama of modern-day Americana, a kind of post-modern poetic "On the Road" that feels like music and offers a surreal trip into what's left of the American heartland. His honesty is as refreshing as his incredible fresh and wholly-original technique. As original Beatnik musician David Amram notes, "Jack Kerouac would have loved him."
