Trying something new can be scary. Nelephant and her toy friends are in the garden on a hot summer day. Waggy, Ziggy Zaggy, and Wolly Olly jump right into the pool, but Wabbit and Nelephant are a bit more cautious. Nelephant takes her time to get used to the idea by drawing colorful underwater scenes and imagining what it'd be like to visit them. That's all it takes to give Nelephant and her friend Wabbit the courage to take the plunge.

Nelephant and her toy friends are getting ready for bed. But once their bedtime routine is complete, Wolly Olly can't settle down The little owl hoots nervously, soon realizing that he might be afraid of the dark. He keeps watch over his friends all day, but who will watch out for them at night? Nelephant picks up her pencil to draw Wolly Olly all the creatures that are up at night to make her friend feel better. With those helpful images, Wolly Olly is finally able to get some rest.

Nelephant's friend Waggy finds a tricycle outside. Out of all their toy friends, Nelephant is the only one big enough to ride it. She tries it out excitedly, but soon crashes. Nelephant vows to never ride on the tricycle again. Then, she decides to draw about all the places the tricycle could take her with her friends. With new confidence and the support of friends like Waggy, Nelephant gets back on the tricycle and rides once again.
