Book two in the Wee People series, House on Bo-Kay Lane, combines a haunted house, a magic mirror, parallel universes, and two Geralds to give you a "Stay up all night to finish reading it" mystery/adventure. Gerald and Vernon believe their time with the Wee People came to an end after returning to their homeworld but begin to wonder when strange things start to happen at an abandoned house in their neighborhood. Ghostly images of familiar faces from the Wee People village are seen in the windows, echoes of voices from the past haunt the boys' dreams, and an undeniable curiosity draws Gerald and Vernon to investigate the mysterious haunted house. What they find takes them back to the world of the wee people, and a new adventure begins. In House on Bo-Kay Lane, a mirror is found in a forgotten room in the far-seers' training center. Sheela, a far-seer master, and Alyson, an apprentice firestarter, are unwillingly drawn into the depths of the mirror and wind up in the abandoned house on Bo-Kay Lane. Sheela uses her telepathic skills to enlist the aid of Gerald, Vernon, and Gerald's father, Andrew, to help find the way back to the world of the Wee People. That problem resolved, they try to unravel the secrets of the mirror and unveil that it serves as a portal between their two worlds, to a time in the future, and possibly to a parallel universe. If that wasn't enough, glimpses of a familiar person trapped within its depths add yet another dimension to the mystery. Through their research, the Wee People discover the origins of their world. That knowledge is not well accepted and leads to discord between them and Gerald, Andrew, and Vernon. Finally, an uneasy truce paves the way to a compromise and eventually a solution for dealing with the man in the mirror.

Christmas is a special time for kids of all ages and in "Christmas with Patchy and Calico", the lovable dog and cat discover the true spirit of the holiday season. Through their many adventures, the two friends learn that giving, sharing, and caring are just as much fun as receiving presents.

In Gerald and the Wee People, Gerald and Vernon discover an unusual spot in the woods. It's always clear of any vegetation; even autumn leaves remain outside the perimeter. The most alarming characteristic of the clearing is Gerald's uncanny ability to "see" a miniature village inhabited by the wee people. Vernon tolerates his friend's "visions" but becomes concerned when Gerald insists he'd had a visitation from one of the villagers. It seems the village is under attack, and the teens are urgently needed to help. Determined to prove that wee people only exist in Gerald's imagination, Vernon agrees to venture out to the clearing late one night. But, instead of demonstrating that Gerald is wrong, Vernon is drawn into his friend's enchanted vision, and both boys charge off to the rescue. While in the wee people village, Gerald and Vernon aid the residents in their fight against the misshapen ones while also trying to devise a plan to outsmart a forest god intent on destroying all life. The boys encounter a mystical far-seer named Sheela, who decrees that the fighting will never end until the boys fulfill an ancient prophecy filled with many dangers and obstacles. Against their better judgment, Gerald and Vernon embark on a quest accompanied by Sheela and five other companions into the volcanic realm of Miach, the forest god. Their task: defeat the demented god and restore peace. However, not everything goes as planned.

Patchwork Dog has a knack for getting into trouble and Calico Cat usually winds up in the middle of the mess with him. In Patchy and Calico's Summer Vacation, the two friends come nose to claw with a fiddler crab, meet an unfriendly bear, join the circus, take an unplanned boat ride, and sneak into a school classroom. What lessons will they learn from their misadventures? Join them and find out. But be prepared for the unexpected. There's never a dull moment when these two characters go off on an adventure.

Patchwork Dog and Calico Cat are best friends. Even when Patchy follows his nose into mischief, Calico is always there to help him get out of sticky situations. Join the two lovable creatures as Patchy tries to fly like a bird and discovers that soaring through the air is nice, but the landings hurt too much. That doesn't stop him though; he finds a better way to fly. In the other three stories, Patchy and Calico eat too many apples, confront a not too friendly skunk, and take a magical ride into town. Heartaches and Miracles has been revised and updatedApril 2005 - the beginning of my ITP journey. I had no idea which way was up. My body had started doing some very weird things for some unknown reason, and no one could tell me why. I was diagnosed with an autoimmune blood disorder called ITP (Immune Thrombocytopenia). For some unknown reason, my immune system had begun to destroy the platelets in my bloodstream, therefore preventing my blood from clotting properly. I found out there were no cures for ITP, but there were treatments. Since then, I have researched ITP and spoken with many people who also suffer from this chronic blood disease. As a result, I've learned a lot about platelets, IVIGs, CBC's, corticosteroids, relapses, and other factors that will continue to play a significant role in my well-being for the rest of my life. I kept a journal chronicling my experiences, detailing the treatments along with the mental, emotional, and psychological highs and lows associated with the successes and failures. Then, in 2010, I combined all that information into a book to share it with others who are also fighting this illness. There have been many tremendous changes since the first edition of Heartaches and Miracles was published. Advances in medications, treatments, and overall approaches to combating ITP have necessitated an updated 2022 version of my book. I'm sure this edition will be outdated in a few years. However, that's good news - there will be more progress to write about Most of my memoir remains the same, though. It's a combination of autobiography, stories from other ITPers, research information, and pep talk for anyone suffering from ITP or for family members and friends who want to understand the roller coaster ride of steroids and other types of medications and treatments. It can be a hard road filled with relapses and disappointments, but with a positive attitude and support from friends and family, there is hope. ITP no longer controls our lives.
