A season of my life was lived as an Infantry officer in the United States Army. In the Airborne Infantry to be exact. And one of the critical skills all Infantrymen are required to master is navigation, which is finding your way around a landscape using a map and a compass, and sometimes only a compass, or at the very least navigating by the stars, amongst which is a navigational standard, the North Star. When I first became a Christian, that is a follower of Jesus Christ, I quickly discovered that without a moral compass, there is no way to find Truth. The Bible is that moral compass, and I talk about that Book, the Word of God, throughout this work. It is the most important book you will ever read or share.True North is how we orient The Way to Truth. This was so from the beginning, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." And as Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." He also said, "I and my Father are one."To be without a moral compass, and not knowing where True North lies, is to be without a godly conscience. And it means you are without Truth or The Way out of a life of sin. This is a book about finding that moral compass, and knowing True North, and once having both, setting off on a path out of Sodom.

The Parable of the Prodigal Son is found in the text of the New Testament, in Luke 15:11-32 to be exact. It was told by Jesus to His followers to illustrate God's love and forgiveness, even when one would abandon the security and blessings God has bestowed, to follow a fallen "wisdom" over that which God has provided. It is illustrative of a common theme woven throughout the Bible, starting with Adam and Eve, through the Tower of Babel, to the doubting Israelites in the wilderness ... and even to the present day. The truth of the Parable of the Prodigal Son applies to spouses as well, and it is a testament to God's unconditional love and the realization that our loved ones will sometimes head out on their own, outside the will of God, only to realize the treasure they lost in their rebellion. And it bears noting that in the Parable of the Prodigal Son, the father had the means and wherewithal to stop his son from leaving, but knew it was the choice of his son. We the People must ensure that all who would serve in the Judiciary strictly interpret the Constitution, and not substitute their will for the Law. Our future generations will reap the rewards or suffer the consequences of the choices we now make. Let us decide well, having the knowledge and the wisdom to choose wisely.
