Hassan Rasheed's "The Wrong Turn" is a unique treatment of how humanity has evolved to the point of running amok on its precious Earth. It starts out by describing how pre-civilized life on Earth worked and, in many ways, tries to work at the present time. It then moves on to the strategy adapted by the civilized to achieve success at the individual and cultural levels and the effects of these strategies on the state of the natural process of the Earth.
