Gorgeous Georgia: A Story of Inner Beauty is about a giraffe who brags on herself to the other animals, calling herself Gorgeous Georgia. She eventually learns that beauty comes from within your heart. The other animals learn that you should never judge others because you don't know what they are dealing with. There is a coloring page at the end of the book that says Color me anyway you like...my heart is already beautiful and that i all that matters.

The author invents rules for the main character, Olivia, to guide herself back to emotional health are filled with common sense and deliberate in reaching out to others. Inspired by actual events, journal entries within the story cries from the character's wounded heart. The ending is comforting and positive.
